They take any morsel of information and blow it out of proportion.

You know how I talk about Speaker 1: analysis paralysis but this is tea paralysis because we are being inundated with all types Speaker 1: all types of propaganda lies information tea that is disguised as just making shit up pulling stuff Speaker 1: out of thin air and just making the timeline go crazy we are in the midst of that and it's only Speaker 1: going to get worse until certain dominoes fall until we know what happens to braun until we knows Speaker 1: what happens with the warriors and what they're trying to build until we know what happens with Speaker 1: the heat as they try to fill out a roster. We're going to get inundated with rumors and Speaker 1: innuendo and no bigger one than what the Warriors are allegedly trying to do. Trying to surround Speaker 1: Wardell, trying to make one last run, trying to find a way to keep the habitual nut hitter Speaker 1: Draymond Green in the mix, impair him and make room for not only Anthony Davis, Speaker 1: but the chosen one, LeBron James, y'all's king. Speaker 1: And I'm not saying it's not going to happen. Speaker 1: It was, it's highly unlikely for it to happen. Speaker 1: But just the mere thought, the mere report, the mere rumor, Speaker 1: the mere sources close tell certain insiders this information, Speaker 1: the timeline went crazy. Speaker 1: Let's go ahead into the screen.

Speaker 1: So, it started 11 hours ago. Speaker 1: Shams hit the timeline 11 hours ago and said, Speaker 1: the habitual nut hitter is declining his $27.7 million player option to become a free agent. Speaker 1: And he went on to speak on it. Speaker 1: This move gives the Warriors flexibility to pursue LeBron James in free agency Speaker 1: and Anthony Davis via trade to form a big four. Speaker 1: That sent the timeline crazy. Speaker 1: It was rumored the last couple of days, but again, we're in the midst of lying season. Speaker 1: So there are things you just kind of let go.

Speaker 1: You see stuff happen on the timeline. Speaker 1: You're like, all right, they're just doing it for clicks. Speaker 1: They're just aggregating or some newsbreaker or insider does the same thing. Speaker 1: Hey, I'm going on a popular radio show. Speaker 1: Let me make some shit up and get the timeline going or go get the phone lines going and have people call into the show. Speaker 1: That's the position you're in as a guest when you pull up on the show. Speaker 1: It is your responsibility to not only keep the conversation going, but to push it forward.

Speaker 1: So we have Shams, who's not saying he himself is being told that this allows the Warriors to pursue LeBron James and Anthony Davis, Speaker 1: but he's just making the assumption. Speaker 1: Hey, well, everyone's talking about it, so yeah. Speaker 1: Draymond, the habitual no-header Green, declining his option, frees up some bread. Speaker 1: Now, this is what, 10 hours later. Speaker 1: So one hour later, the opt-out comes days after the Warriors said that they expect Green to pick up the $27.7 million option. Speaker 1: Instead, Green delivers Golden State time and space to pursue Anthony Davis with the Wizards and convince LeBron James to join Wardell, the habitual nut hitter, and his old Lakers championship teammate in the Bay. Speaker 1: So again, this is 11 and then 10 hours ago.

Speaker 1: Only for Shams to have to spin the block and clean it all up because guess what? Speaker 1: Free Agent Center, now this is three hours ago, Free Agent Center, the Latvian world star Christoph Porzingis, has agreed to a two-year $40 million contract extension to return to the Warriors. Speaker 1: The Warriors were eligible to reach an extension with Porzingis ahead of the Veterans Center hitting open market on Tuesday night. Speaker 1: The deal, according to Bobby Marks, who is one of those guys that likes to go on people's show and stir the pot, he did it with the Jalen Brown nonsense that everyone's going crazy about. Speaker 1: And he is continuing to do that now because now he's saying, according to him, Bobby Marks is saying this likely prohibits Golden State from using the full non-taxpayer mid-level exemption. Speaker 1: Now, that mid-level taxpayer, full non-taxpayer mid-level exemption was supposed to be the key piece because that's what allegedly LeBron was supposed to take. Speaker 1: OK, so to make the sign and trade.

To go get AD, right, where they got to flip Jimmy Butler in that or however you make it happy, supposed to make it happen that way. Speaker 1: So then, all right, Jimmy Butler out ADN. OK, the habitual nut hitter will take a pay cut just to make sure that the team has enough bread to go re up and go get LeBron. Speaker 1: LeBron for the low. He takes the 15 point whatever mil. That's what that was supposed to be. Speaker 1: But now Latvian world star pulls up and he wants his bread.

Speaker 1: And we talked about him on the last stream. Speaker 1: It turns up he's a free agent big that I think could have made a lot of teams better. Speaker 1: But as come to find out, the Warriors are keeping and hanging on to Latvian world star Christos Berzingis. Speaker 1: So now the short-lived dream of having a big four of Wardell, habitual nut hitter, Anthony Davis and LeBron James is all up in smoke. Speaker 1: Right. All the memes, all the memes were for naught. Right.

All them tweets were for naught. Right. Speaker 1: All those social media content that was produced in mass immediately when the habitual nut hitter opted out is all for naught. Right. Speaker 1: Well, no, we can't have that. We can't have this type of juicy storyline. We can't have this type of narrative be killed in just a mere number of hours just because a Latvian world star got his bag, right?

No, we need to find a way to keep this going. We got to keep the clicks clicking. We got to keep the views viewing. Speaker 1: So we get a capologist who says, you know what? Speaker 1: We can still figure out a way that the Warriors could still fit LeBron and AD even after extending Christos Porzingis. Speaker 1: And here are the steps that are necessary. Speaker 1: Allegedly, the Anthony Melton declines his player option.

Speaker 1: That was already likely to happen, but it is imperative that this happens to make this work. Speaker 1: Trade Jimmy Butler and picks for Anthony Davis. Speaker 1: That was already floated. Speaker 1: Even though Jimmy Butler's people has come out and said that they've been told or it's been heavily insinuated to them. Speaker 1: That they're not good, that the words are not going to trade him. Speaker 1: So they feel confident that Jimmy Butler is not going to be dealt. Speaker 1: That's what Jimmy Butler's people are saying at the moment.

Speaker 1: Sign Draymond Green to the same deal as Porzingis. Speaker 1: That is likely. Speaker 1: Find a taker for Moses Moody. Speaker 1: Good luck. Speaker 1: And then sign LeBron with the 15 mil non-taxpayer mid-level exemption. Speaker 1: So now that means whatever you thought you were signing Porzingis to, Speaker 1: you got to rework his deal to make sure that is not the 15 mil non-taxpayer mid-level exemption. Speaker 1: So you have to free up a lot of not only just roster space, but cap space to make this work.

Speaker 1: And we need something because July 6th can't get here fast enough. Speaker 1: Because when players can actually sign. Speaker 1: And lock in roster spots, then we can actually have conversations when all these trades can finally go through. Speaker 1: And whether they go as they have been reported or whether we get three teams, four teams in the mix to finalize these deals. Speaker 1: throwing in trade kickers left and right, then we can all finally sit back and actually assess Speaker 1: what the hell has happened. Because right now we're just wishing upon a star. We're just playing, Speaker 1: we're all playing fantasy basketball GM right now.

We're all in 2K. We're all in a trade machine Speaker 1: trying to make something happen while we're waiting for the reality of players being moved. Speaker 1: Now, do I think LeBron is going to end up in the Bay? No. Because we're asking LeBron Speaker 1: on the tail end of his career, possibly the very end of his career, Speaker 1: not only to take a short, but take a short and then move to the Bay. Speaker 1: Now we know he got the PJs. Speaker 1: He can always just fly back to the crib.

Speaker 1: It's not that big of a deal. Speaker 1: Still within the state of California. Speaker 1: We understand that. Speaker 1: However, when you have a chance to write your own ending, Speaker 1: we've talked about, do you go out if you're LeBron? Speaker 1: Do you go out being the third option? Speaker 1: with the Lakers where you're behind Luka Doncic and Austin Reeves? Speaker 1: Or do you try to do one more run as probably a number two option somewhere else?

Speaker 1: Or do you take being number three in Miami? Speaker 1: The Miami thing's been floated. Speaker 1: The Cleveland thing's been floated. Speaker 1: Basically, anywhere LeBron plays, people always think he wants to spin the block. Speaker 1: There was even a brief rumor about LeBron and Knicks tape. Speaker 1: So again, we're just trying to push whatever gets you clicks, Speaker 1: whatever gets you likes, whatever gets you hearts, whatever gets you retweets, shares, whatever. Speaker 1: I'm going to say the thing.

Speaker 1: The fact that LeBron to the Knicks was even even mentioned on any level should be a fireable offense for anyone that has a legitimate press pass. Speaker 1: So here we go again with, OK, even though they're bringing back Chris House, Speaker 1: Przingis. So 10 hours ago, 11 hours ago, you're telling the Shams that, well, Draymond Green opts out. Speaker 1: And for LeBron to go be a warrior, he has to take the mid-level taxpayer exemption. Speaker 1: Only for Christos Przingis to get the re-up for roughly around the same money as that mid-level tax exemption. Speaker 1: and the same capologist who is stirring the pot about Jalen Brown and what scouts think of him Speaker 1: is now jumping out there and saying, well, now they can't do that deal Speaker 1: because Brown was supposed to take the mid-level exemption. Speaker 1: Now you have another capologist who is now combating Bobby Marks and they said, Speaker 1: well, no, wait a minute.

If a million things happen, this Braun and AD to the Bay thing can happen. Speaker 1: Lying season is upon us. Speaker 1: Believe only 15% of what you see on your timeline. Speaker 1: Agents are at play. Speaker 1: Insiders are at play. Speaker 1: Organizations are at play. Speaker 1: They're all playing with your minds.

Speaker 1: They're all playing with your opinions. Speaker 1: They all want you to think that their right of way, that their philosophy is a just one, is a right one. Speaker 1: Do not fall for it. Speaker 1: I ignore, and this is stuff that I get sent, whether it's in group chats or whatever, Speaker 1: I ignore about. Yeah, about 85 percent. Speaker 1: I stand on the only believe 50 percent of what you're told. Speaker 1: Because right now everyone is jockeying for position.

Everyone is jockeying for credibility. Speaker 1: Everyone wants to be first. I told you 48 hours ago that this is going to happen. Speaker 1: OK, cool story, bro. Nothing can officially happen until July. Speaker 1: Anyway, we're on the doorstep of July, but nothing can happen officially until July 6th anyway. Speaker 1: So you telling me you was first on the June 27th when the news broke on the 29th, that doesn't do nothing for me.

Speaker 1: It sounds good, but does it really mean anything? No. Speaker 1: So the stuff that I see in group chats doesn't make sense. Speaker 1: The stuff that I see on the timeline doesn't make sense. Speaker 1: There are lies upon lies upon lies that are happening. Speaker 1: where Shams 11 hours ago was telling you Draymond Green is turning down, is declining his option. Speaker 1: That means he's trying to make way for Bron and AD to pull up.

Speaker 1: And for that to happen, Bron has to take the mid-level. Speaker 1: Only for Kristoff Porzingis to get a bag. Speaker 1: And then Bobby Marks to say, well, you know what? Speaker 1: That mid-level exemption now is now in danger because that's what Bron was supposed to take. Speaker 1: and the Porzingis money is too close to the exemption. Speaker 1: So now that means it's unlikely that the whole big four scenario is going to happen. Speaker 1: Only for another cap guy to say, hey, wait a minute, hold my beer.

Speaker 1: Let me paint the perfect scenario to where this can happen. Speaker 1: And this is all that needs to happen. Speaker 1: My thing is, is the juice even worth to squeeze? Speaker 1: Is, and we've seen Brown on the golf course, that beard is getting whiter and grayer by the day. Speaker 1: Is it even worth it for LeBron James at this point in his career? Speaker 1: And I'll come off the screen briefly. Speaker 1: Let me know your thoughts in the chat.

Speaker 1: It's an active chat. Speaker 1: I respond. Speaker 1: If you're LeBron James at this point in your career, is it worth it? Speaker 1: Do you want to be the third option at the crib in L.A. and stay there? Speaker 1: Your family's still growing? Speaker 1: Your wife is happy there?

Speaker 1: Your business is thriving there? Speaker 1: You want to be Hollywood? Speaker 1: And you got it. Speaker 1: Is it worth to uproot all of that to go wrong with Wardell for a year? Speaker 1: Maybe two at the most. Speaker 1: You want to spin the block to Miami again? Speaker 1: You want to go back to Cleveland again?

Speaker 1: What is the best scenario? Speaker 1: What is the best landing place for LeBron? Speaker 1: LeBron, Ramon, James. Speaker 1: what is the best landing place for him in 2026, 2027? Speaker 1: Because I don't know if that squad, if you're telling me I got old Bron, Speaker 1: old Wardell, old habitual nut hitter, at this point in his career especially, Speaker 1: a more broken down Anthony Davis that's supposed to go through OKC and the Spurs? Speaker 1: On what planet? Speaker 1: Now in 2K, you can destroy teams.

Speaker 1: You could probably go 82-0. Speaker 1: In 2K and on the actual game that's gone viral, Speaker 1: and I did a live stream about that last week, Speaker 1: you could probably go 82-0 with that squad. Speaker 1: It almost doesn't matter who the fifth is. Speaker 1: Any reasonable fifth, you could probably go 82-0. Speaker 1: But let's step back into reality. Speaker 1: In the year of our basketball lord, Speaker 1: 2026, 2027, Speaker 1: an old Wardell, Speaker 1: an old LeBron, Speaker 1: a beat-up, broken-down, Speaker 1: habitual nut hitter, Speaker 1: and a beat-up, broken-down, Speaker 1: potentially, Anthony Davis, Speaker 1: is that supposed to walk through Speaker 1: SGA, Speaker 1: a healthy Jalen Williams, Speaker 1: and Chet? Speaker 1: Is that supposed to walk through Speaker 1: Wemby?

Speaker 1: Castle, Harper, maybe Kawhi. Speaker 1: And let's talk about the Kawhi thing real quick. Speaker 1: It is amazing to me that we're getting rumors about Kawhi Leonard Speaker 1: potentially spinning the block to not just Toronto Speaker 1: and all the Raptors who were there Speaker 1: for that one mystical, magical year with Kawhi Speaker 1: where they got a chip. Speaker 1: They got the Larry OB. Speaker 1: They all said, he let them know off rip, Speaker 1: I'm only here for one year. Speaker 1: I don't want nothing to do with this place Speaker 1: except for to come and hope and be done Speaker 1: and go back to the crib where I really want to be. Speaker 1: Now you're telling me Kawhi, Speaker 1: who also is nearing the end, Speaker 1: wants to go back to Toronto?

Speaker 1: for what? Speaker 1: If you're bored man Speaker 1: if you're bored man Speaker 1: why am I going back to Toronto? Knowing what you know of Kawhi Leonard, Speaker 1: what makes you think he would want to spin the block to Toronto? Speaker 1: now if you're telling me Speaker 1: we know he's a West Coast guy Speaker 1: he's a Cali guy Speaker 1: okay bet Speaker 1: now if he wants to go to the Bay Speaker 1: that makes more sense to me Speaker 1: if you're flipping out Speaker 1: Jimmy Butler Speaker 1: for Kawhi Leonard Speaker 1: that makes more sense to me Speaker 1: than trying to flip Jimmy Butler Speaker 1: for Anthony Davis Speaker 1: in some picks Speaker 1: if you're really trying to Speaker 1: Maximize the window of Wardell. Speaker 1: And you're trying to do it from a basketball perspective. Speaker 1: Because the thing that old Wardell has to contend with is that he literally has no shot creators next to him. Speaker 1: Now, Klay at his peak was not a shot creator. Speaker 1: But it didn't matter because Wardell was at his peak and it didn't matter.

Speaker 1: He was like a super saiyan. It just it didn't matter. Right. Speaker 1: But then when it did matter, when they blew that 3-1 lead, it went 73-9 and lied. Speaker 1: they had to go get an actual shot creator Speaker 1: and an actual closer Speaker 1: because Wardell was still not a closer yet. Speaker 1: They had to go get Kevin Durant Speaker 1: that had to show Wardell Speaker 1: how to be a closer Speaker 1: into the next two finals. Speaker 1: Kevin Durant was the finals MVP Speaker 1: specifically going at LeBron Speaker 1: and icing him out.

Speaker 1: That Wardell, Speaker 1: the version of Wardell you have now Speaker 1: is better mentally, Speaker 1: Better probably fundamentally from a basketball standpoint, but he is nowhere as athletic. Speaker 1: The drop-offs defensively have been markedly proven, even from an analytical standpoint. Speaker 1: What are you asking Wardell to do at this point in his career? Speaker 1: If you're looking for him to be the number one, you're in trouble. Speaker 1: If you're looking for him to be the number two, okay. Speaker 1: Depends on who your number one is, but okay, that could work. Speaker 1: But if you're looking for Wardell to still be the back-to-back MVP with fraudulent trash-ass ankles, you're mistaken.

Speaker 1: You haven't been watching enough game tape, not enough recent game tape. Speaker 1: You've been on YouTube. Speaker 1: You've been on this platform watching too many old highlights. Speaker 1: Now, he can still give you moments. Speaker 1: He can still give you flashes. Speaker 1: But if you think that guy is going to roll out in 2026, 2027 and go ham for a full 82, Speaker 1: or in this day and age with low managing and things like a full 65, Speaker 1: I don't see it. Speaker 1: I do not see it.

Speaker 1: If that's your number one, you're in trouble. Speaker 1: And even if I have old LeBron Speaker 1: and even street clothes Anthony Davis, Speaker 1: I still think Wardell has to be number one for that group to survive Speaker 1: and advance deep into the playoffs. Speaker 1: LeBron can't walk in there and just become the number one. Speaker 1: He still might be a better player overall than Wardell and certainly more than a habitual nut hitter, Jermon Green, and potentially Anthony Davis when Anthony Davis is hobbled. Speaker 1: But to make that Warriors thing work, it still has to funnel through Wardell. Speaker 1: That system ain't going to change. Speaker 1: Instead of Jermon bringing the ball up, you're going to have LeBron bringing the ball up.

Speaker 1: You're still going to be doing those three-man weaves. Speaker 1: He's still going to be doing those curls and pin downs. Speaker 1: Nothing's going to change from the Warriors' philosophy. Speaker 1: Draymond will have the two-man game with Anthony Davis Speaker 1: like he used to have with Kevion Looney. Speaker 1: Like the philosophy and the system are not going to change Speaker 1: if this big four were to actually happen and be a thing. Speaker 1: The thing is, is that is that big four, Speaker 1: one, is it really a big four? Speaker 1: Are we counting the habitual not-hittering that big four?

Speaker 1: I don't know if we are, but for the sake of the argument, Speaker 1: is that big four even Speaker 1: a second round team? Speaker 1: Especially Speaker 1: when you don't know what's going to happen with players like Kawhi. Speaker 1: Portland made the deal for Ja Morant. Speaker 1: Now I'm not going to sit here and say Portland's going to be a playoff team Speaker 1: but you're starting to look at that roster. Let's pull up that trade. Speaker 1: And we'll jump back on the screen. Speaker 1: Where's that trade at?

Speaker 1: John Morant trade. Speaker 1: We just have the aftermath. Speaker 1: So John Morant to Portland to team up with Dane. Speaker 1: They give up Jeremy Grant and another piece. Speaker 1: Let's see. Speaker 1: This trade also means that they are out on the Jalen Brown sweepstakes, allegedly. Speaker 1: All right, so here's the full trade.

Speaker 1: Blazers get Ja Morant. Grizzlies received Jeremy Grant, who was making a shit ton of money. Speaker 1: So you needed him in the deal to make this work. And Chris Murray. Speaker 1: So you have Ja Morant as a Blazer. So you have Dame, Ja and Scoot. Speaker 1: And Drew Holiday, but you have to assume they're going to flip Drew.

Speaker 1: But the likelihood of going in the next season with Ja, Dame and Scoot is crazy to me. Speaker 1: absolutely insane Speaker 1: absolutely insane Speaker 1: from a basketball standpoint Speaker 1: from a locker room standpoint Speaker 1: from an everything standpoint Speaker 1: I don't know what the hell Speaker 1: that's supposed to look like Speaker 1: you can move Dame Speaker 1: off the ball Speaker 1: Scoot's coming off that bench Speaker 1: the problem is Speaker 1: is that out of those three Speaker 1: none of those three are actually Speaker 1: none of those three are actually point guards Speaker 1: not from the traditional sense. Speaker 1: Dame's a shooter more than a point guard. Speaker 1: Ja is a score slasher more than a point guard. Speaker 1: And Scoot is still trying to figure out Speaker 1: just what the hell he is at this level. Speaker 1: I thought he had some real PG skills Speaker 1: and he had to flash it at times, Speaker 1: but not nearly enough. Speaker 1: His shot has been his biggest problem Speaker 1: and he's worked hard at that diligently Speaker 1: and it's gotten, I won't say significantly, Speaker 1: better.

It's gotten better, but it's still nothing to go crazy about. Speaker 1: I mean, they still got Denny. Speaker 1: It's going to be... Speaker 1: If we're looking at the West, Speaker 1: if you're looking at the West, and let's go to basketball. Speaker 1: why is that not working? Speaker 1: All right, let me come off the screen Speaker 1: and make sure that's working. Speaker 1: Get the keyboard to work.

Speaker 1: That's important. Speaker 1: We're assuming Houston is going to get better. Speaker 1: We're assuming the Lakers are going to get better. Speaker 1: I mean, even if LeBron leaves, Speaker 1: I think whatever comes to them in a deal Speaker 1: would make sense Speaker 1: because Kawhi could slide to LA. Speaker 1: He could be a Laker instead of being a Clipper. Speaker 1: Denver depending on what they do or maybe not do with Jamal Murray Speaker 1: they'll still be in the mix. There are some teams that Minnesota should be better Speaker 1: with the deals with LaMelo and getting rid of Julius Randle.

Speaker 1: So all these squads I don't see a lot Speaker 1: of these I don't see a lot of these squads falling off. Speaker 1: I can see a scenario where Phoenix falls off Speaker 1: but we're looking at the Clippers Speaker 1: even with Kawhi Speaker 1: playing Speaker 1: Warriors with Wardell Speaker 1: yes he was injured Speaker 1: playing Speaker 1: who from this bottom is going to jump up Speaker 1: Dallas Speaker 1: if you believe all the hype Speaker 1: healthy Kyrie Speaker 1: etc Speaker 1: if you want to believe that Speaker 1: then sure Speaker 1: but if you're looking at the landscape Speaker 1: what's the pathway to get better? Speaker 1: How do you make a deep playoff run? Speaker 1: If you're the Warriors and you're trying to get from playing Speaker 1: to top four, Speaker 1: you got to leapfrog a lot of squads Speaker 1: and a lot of these squads are consistently getting better. Speaker 1: It's almost like the Knicks championship has reminded GMs Speaker 1: you need a lot of talent on your roster. Speaker 1: I find that maddening that it took something Speaker 1: that hasn't happened in 53 years Speaker 1: for other organizations to be like, Speaker 1: oh yeah, wait a minute, we should be stockpiling talent. Speaker 1: At every other level, the goal is to stockpile talent.

Speaker 1: Whether it's junior high, high school, travel team, AAU, college, Speaker 1: the goal is to stockpile talent. Speaker 1: The only time we hear about how good coaches are from a schematic standpoint Speaker 1: is when they have a roster that is bereft of talent. Speaker 1: Jeff Perlman talked about Chris Johnson, CJ2K, former NFL running back who has lost all of his motor skills for the most part because he's dealing with Lou Gehrig disease, a.k.a. ALS. Speaker 1: And he's only 40 years old. He was diagnosed a year ago. Speaker 1: And he went on Good Morning America and he was interviewed by a former NFL player, now turned media darling, Michael Strahan.

Speaker 1: And he did like a whole profile vignette. They had Chris Johnson's family in there, his wife, who's been holding him down and helping him out. Speaker 1: they did this interview basically that was alerting everyone that, hey, Speaker 1: Chris Johnson has this debilitating disease and it's rapidly destroying his body. Speaker 1: And so I didn't know I knew nothing of this. Speaker 1: So I was very much intrigued by what Jeff Perlman had to talk about it. Speaker 1: And he kind of aired out Michael Strahan and the whole Good Morning America staff, Speaker 1: including the four-letter network, because obviously ABC and the four-letter network are simpatico. Speaker 1: Michael Strahan did a horrible job in this interview.

Speaker 1: Or I could say Michael Strahan was protecting his livelihood and his reputation and his sports reputation in this interview. Speaker 1: It can only be one of those two ways. Speaker 1: Because at no point during this interview did A, they make a connection between Chris Johnson playing football and now being diagnosed at 39 years old. Speaker 1: And now at 40 years old where he cannot speak. Speaker 1: He has lost motor skills to the point where he cannot speak. Speaker 1: He turned 40. Speaker 1: A man who was, if not the fastest player in the NFL, certainly one of.

Speaker 1: A man who ran for over 2,000 yards rushing, a feat that we only would see in video games. Speaker 1: Is now beaten up and broken down to the point where he can no longer speak. Speaker 1: He is wheelchair bound. Speaker 1: So the man who could run and outrun entire teams can no longer walk. Speaker 1: And he's 40. Speaker 1: And there was not one question or not one inclination or not one inference of whether or not football caused this. Speaker 1: That is a horrendous job of interviewing.

Speaker 1: by Michael Strahan. Speaker 1: And there needs to be an explanation Speaker 1: as to why you wouldn't make that obvious statement Speaker 1: or obvious question. Speaker 1: How can you have a person who is as athletic as they come Speaker 1: like Chris Johnson Speaker 1: sitting before you Speaker 1: knowing that he cannot speak. Speaker 1: He cannot move his mouth enough to speak. Speaker 1: He cannot stand up and greet you. He is wheelchair bound. Speaker 1: And he is younger than you.

Speaker 1: And he played the same sport as you for a shorter time than you. Speaker 1: And you don't even just ask, even if Chris Johnson denies it. Speaker 1: Even if his family poo-poos it, even if the doctors try not to make an inference, even though that's not true, there's been studies that have been done, that Lou Gehrig's disease, ALS, does have an impact on football players. Speaker 1: Playing football does have a strong penchant for ALS disease developing. Speaker 1: Studies have been done. Speaker 1: Now whether the Good Morning America people, Speaker 1: the ABC people, the Florida Network people Speaker 1: knew this ahead of time, I do not know. Speaker 1: But Google is your friend.

Speaker 1: DuckDuckGo, more specifically, is your friend. Speaker 1: It's just a search away. Speaker 1: We search everything else. Speaker 1: You couldn't search connection point ALS to NFL players. Speaker 1: Here you have a 40-year-old, recently turned 40-year-old running back with the most dynamic, one of the fastest players ever, who now can't walk. Speaker 1: And you don't come to think, well, maybe did football do this? Speaker 1: How did we get here?

Speaker 1: When you have a debilitating disease, one of the first questions is why? Speaker 1: How? How did this happen? Why me? Speaker 1: Michael Strahan has a man that clearly has been impacted physically, mentally, spiritually. Speaker 1: By a disease that is ravaging his body and his motor skills to the point that he can't speak and he can't walk. Speaker 1: And you don't ask him, how did this happen?

Speaker 1: Or what have the doctors told you? Speaker 1: How this could have happened to someone so young. Speaker 1: Someone who we knew at one point in time at the peak of all athleticism. Speaker 1: And now you've lost all your motor skills in just a short amount of time. Speaker 1: How did this happen? Speaker 1: So not only did Strahan not ask Chris Johnson about it. Speaker 1: Hey, did football do this to you?

Speaker 1: At no point in the entire discussion afterward. Speaker 1: Was there any mention like the fall for that network did a whole article. Speaker 1: About the Chris Johnson appearance. Speaker 1: And they in that article did not mention anything about NFL players and ALS. Speaker 1: diagnoses. Speaker 1: Now I get it, the Florida Network and Speaker 1: the Shield are in bed together. Like literally on paper.

Speaker 1: They're in bed together. So I'm not necessarily expecting Speaker 1: ESPN to go hard on the Shield now. Speaker 1: They weren't going hard before. They damn sure not going to go hard on them now. Speaker 1: But just a basic standpoint, it's not even a journalistic question. Speaker 1: It's a human, it's a human angle. Speaker 1: Like Strahan is in the journalism space now, whether he wants to admit it or not.

Speaker 1: And that's why people that are legitimate journalists like Jeff Perlman are like, yo, dog, you dropped the ball there. Speaker 1: Just like when Shannon Sharp, when he was first jumping into his space with Club Shay Shay, people were getting at him because of his lack of interviewing skills. Speaker 1: Same thing here. Speaker 1: Interviews are at their best when they're conversations. Speaker 1: Not just Q&As. Speaker 1: There's a difference between holding a Q&A and having an interview that feels more like a conversation between some folks. Speaker 1: And what Michael Strahan didn't do in asking the human question of, yo, man, you just turned 40.

Speaker 1: You can no longer speak. You are wheelchair bound. Speaker 1: You were one of the fastest players in the league, if not the fastest. Speaker 1: How the hell did we get here? Speaker 1: if it was a car accident that paralyzed him Speaker 1: he would have asked that question Speaker 1: if Chris Johnson had suffered Speaker 1: from any kind of substance abuse Speaker 1: and was now rehabbing Speaker 1: and had come through on the other side Speaker 1: Strahan would have asked him about it Speaker 1: if Chris Johnson had went to jail Speaker 1: and was being released Speaker 1: and was rehabbing his image Speaker 1: he would have asked him about it Speaker 1: but how come Speaker 1: an NFL player Speaker 1: contracting ALS disease Speaker 1: at the age of 39 Speaker 1: and the disease accelerates to the point Speaker 1: that by the age of 40 Speaker 1: he can no longer speak or walk Speaker 1: you don't ask him Speaker 1: how the hell did this happen Speaker 1: that's not some journalism shit Speaker 1: that's just some human shit Speaker 1: horrible job. Speaker 1: Absolutely horrible job by Michael Strahan. Speaker 1: I feel bad for Chris Johnson Speaker 1: and the fact that the shield Speaker 1: is going to be protected yet again.

Speaker 1: But now we're getting things like this, you know, back in the days it was all right, you might have to get a hip replaced, a knee replaced, something to that effect. Speaker 1: Right now we're talking ALS.

That's getting you out of here in a year. Hopefully Chris Johnson can fight this thing for as long as he can. Speaker 1: And he seems to be down to put up a good fight. He's got young children. He's 40 years old. He's got a young wife. He's 40 years old.

Speaker 1: Like he has a lot of left. He has a lot of life left ahead of him in theory. Speaker 1: But because he played that sport, because he played that sport the way that he did in the era that he did with the lack of awareness at the top. Speaker 1: He is now being subjected to a debilitating disease that is going to get him out of here. Speaker 1: we don't do that when it's our family members when your family member goes out of here Speaker 1: with lung cancer and you watch that relative smoke a pack a day Speaker 1: you don't tell that that that relative they got what they asked for they knew what they were doing Speaker 1: when your relative goes out of here and they're pill popping and they od Speaker 1: you don't talk of them and say well they got what they they got what they were asking for Speaker 1: they knew what they were doing but somehow when it comes to athletes specifically football players Speaker 1: who don't know what the effects are when chris johnson first played football he had no idea Speaker 1: that he the sport he was playing that i'm assuming he either loved or grew to love at one point Speaker 1: would make it so that he would be wheelchair bound Speaker 1: and would not be able to speak Speaker 1: before the age of 50. Speaker 1: There is an undercurrent in the underbelly Speaker 1: of what this sport is doing to the people that play it. Speaker 1: And partially because the people Speaker 1: that are playing this sport Speaker 1: predominantly look like Speaker 1: Chris Johnson looks, Speaker 1: a certain aspect of the fan base Speaker 1: will not care. Speaker 1: You're going to have to give up Jamal Murray to get Jalen Brown, but can Jalen Brown be that type of player next to a Nikola Jokic? Speaker 1: How does Jalen Brown's game fit with a Nikola Jokic?

Speaker 1: We've never seen Jalen Brown play with a facilitator. Speaker 1: We've seen him play with scoring point guards like a Kyrie, Speaker 1: like a IT3, like a Kemba. Speaker 1: But we haven't seen him play with a facilitator, period, Speaker 1: much less Nikola Jokic. Speaker 1: I don't know about that fit. Speaker 1: obviously would help defensively. Speaker 1: You're assuming health with Aaron Gordon. Speaker 1: So if you're telling me your front line is Jalen Brown, Speaker 1: Aaron Gordon, and Nikoli Jokic, Speaker 1: and I guess you would put Christian Brown as your two guard.

Speaker 1: But the thing with Jamal Murray that slept on Speaker 1: is that he has point guard skills. Speaker 1: So you're losing that. Speaker 1: I mean, Jamal Murray has, Speaker 1: he averages seven assists a game. Speaker 1: where's those seven assists going to come from Speaker 1: if you take that away but you put in Jalen Brown Speaker 1: I don't know that's a huge roll of the dice Speaker 1: and now we have a potential deal when it comes to Speaker 1: some bonus but again again take everything only believe Speaker 1: 15% of what you see on the timeline until July 6th Speaker 1: but when you're looking at it, Speaker 1: Jalen Brown wants to play in Sacramento Speaker 1: because that's where the bag is. Speaker 1: And if you want to assign a trade, Speaker 1: DeMontis Sabonis does not want to be in Sacramento anymore. Speaker 1: Is DeMontis Sabonis teaming up with Cade Cunningham in upgrade? Speaker 1: I think so.

Speaker 1: I just don't know how much of an upgrade. Speaker 1: Sabonis has some point forward skills in him. Speaker 1: Obviously, something Jalen Duran does not have. Speaker 1: There's some flexibility and some versatility that Sabonis brings that Jalen Duren will never have. Speaker 1: Sabonis can hit the glass, but he's not physically imposing like a Jalen Duren. Speaker 1: But then again, Jalen Duren didn't play that physical in the playoffs. Speaker 1: He was on that Jared Allen ship where the lights were too bright.

Speaker 1: So I like the move for both squads, actually, Speaker 1: because the Kings were never going to go anywhere with Sabonis as their lead guy, Speaker 1: so why not go get Jalen Duren? Speaker 1: And if you're the Pistons, you could go get Sabonis, Speaker 1: who is better as a number two, maybe even as a number three option. Speaker 1: So now you have Cade Cunningham, Thompson Twin, and DeMontis Sabonis. Speaker 1: I ain't mad at that. Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, here's that dream scenario. Speaker 1: So the first domino has already happened. Speaker 1: De'Anthony Melton has declined his player option.

Speaker 1: Now for the dream scenario of the big four happening in the Bay, Speaker 1: you got to trade Jimmy Butler and Picks for AD. Speaker 1: Then you need to sign the habitual nut hitter Draymond Green Speaker 1: to the same deal as the Latvian world star Christos Brzingis, Speaker 1: which was, as you see here, a two-year $40 million exemption. Speaker 1: extension. Then you got to find a way to offload Moses Speaker 1: Moody in a deal. And then LeBron has to agree to take the Speaker 1: 15 mil non taxpayer mid-level exemption. Speaker 1: This is the only way the only scenario Speaker 1: with Porzingis coming back into the fold Speaker 1: where this big fork had happened. If you are the wizards Speaker 1: Why would you take on Jimmy Butler and some picks for Anthony Davis?
