Jayson Tatum's line about Jaylen Brown having "a great PR team" is really a shot at the Boston media that protects him, and the box score his own broadcast crew used to pile onto Brown ignores that Tatum has been a top 21 turnover guy for four straight years himself. Brown and Tatum were never actually friends, just coworkers, and this whole back and forth proved it.
From there: why 15 percent of the NBA is hurt right now, Pat McAfee alluding to Charlie Kirk's killing over a corny Utah student video, Dan Orlovsky not knowing what "percent" means on live television, and why the Colts' own numbers say benching Daniel Jones for Anthony Richardson isn't even a hard call.
The takes
- Jaylen Brown says Tatum's "got a great PR team," and he doesn't mean an actual PR team, he means the Boston media protecting its luminaries while nobody rushes to defend Brown the same way.
- Scalabrine said on radio that Brown demanded a trade, then had to "spin the block" and walk it back on TV hours later once the clip went viral, which is Exhibit A for Brown's PR-team line.
- Tatum's zero-turnover night against the Nets became a subliminal shot at Brown for leading the league in turnovers, but Tatum has been a top 21 turnover guy every year he's had Brown next to him.
- Tatum and Brown were never really friends. They were coworkers, and this whole back and forth just confirmed it.
- A whopping 79 players on one night's injury report, about 15 percent of the league, and it's not conditioning. It's that AAU and travel ball have these guys' bodies playing older than their actual age by the time they reach the league.
- The University of Utah had nothing to apologize for. A couple of college kids calling Pat McAfee corny and telling him to keep his shirt on is not the same conversation as Charlie Kirk's killing.
- ESPN keeps shoving McAfee into every new altcast and Game Day slot, and the ratings, his Monday Night altcast losing to a Next Gen Stats dot tracker broadcast, say the audience isn't following him there.
- Daniel Jones has a worse win percentage than Anthony Richardson, so if the Colts are tearing the roster down anyway, there's no reason not to find out what they actually have in Richardson.

Jaylen Brown versus Jayson Tatum. This all started with let me get the right window up so we got the screen popping. Let's go. There it is. Okay. Boom. So we start here with a I guess an interview, a podcast, or whatever done on Bleacher Report And Tatum was over here, you know, talking about the reaction to the Jaylen Brown trade.
And he absolved himself from everything. He essentially said, I knew nothing. They didn't ask me. They didn't clear anything with me. I was left in the dark. I found out when you all found out. That was me.
That's me paraphrasing. That's essentially what he was getting at. So in the comments, your man's Jaylen Brown. Yep, y'all can see that. Call cap. So that's cap. That's cap, right?
So that began the back and forth, okay? So we have that. That drops. You see this here, October 22nd, right? That's when Jaylen Brown reacted, put Cap in the comments of the video. And then two nights later in the postgame We have Jaylen Brown who was asked about if there's any beef between him and Jayson Tatum. And then he gave us the now infamous or famous, depending on how you look at it.
And make sure I have all my sound line lined up Yep, okay. So this is Jaylen Brown after the Sixers game. Well, he went crazy. I think he had like a really good game after that, but be that as it may Everyone was focused on the post-game. I think this was after that comeback win against the Cavaliers, right? I think this was this was after that. So Jaylen Brown post-game asked about Jayson Tatum.
Is there any real beef? There's no beef. You know, Jayson comes from a wonderful family. Um, we've accomplished some great things. He's a hell of a basketball player. He got a great PR team. Um, there's no beef.
Great PR team. You know, it might be a little lamb chops and some gravy. I mean he's just gonna be a little bit more than a little bit. Land chops and some gravy, yeah. Land chops and some gravy. Ain't no beef. He has a great PR team.
Now, obviously that's heavily coded because if you don't know, the Boston media is notorious for covering up Boston Celtics Luminaries. Jayson Tatum being the latest among them. Jaylen Brown never really fit into that whole Celtic luminary thing so the Boston media wouldn't always rush to the defense of Jaylen Brown as they so happily seem to do when it comes to Jayson Tatum. So Brown's no dummy. We know that for a fact. And he'll let you know that he's no dummy. But he says, yo he has got a great PR team and he doesn't necessarily mean an actual PR team, he means the Boston media.
Okay, so that's where we have to read between the lines of what Jaylen Brown is inferring. He's not talking about an actual public relations team. He's talking about the press, the media, local and national, who all seem to be in the pocket of ingratiating themselves to the Boston Celtics. Jayson Tatum, you've been put on Otis And you also he said they're at the end that we'll go back to the sound. T at the end, hey look man, you gotta be ready. You gotta be ready. Let's see, let's get to the end of that sound there's no beat to it.
There's no beat. Jayson comes from a wonderful family. Wonderful family. Love his family. Accomplish some great things. He's a hell of a basketball player. Hell of a player.
He got a great PR team. Great PR team. There's no beat but might be a little lamb chops. A little lamb chops. Some gravy. You know what I mean? It's just stay ready at all times.
Stay ready at all times. Stay ready at all times. Don't run from it. Don't run from it. Don't run from it. Stay re Ready to all times, JT Cosplay Kobe. Stay ready.
Stay ready, cosplay Kobe. Jaylen Brown laying down the hammer. on Jayson Tatum. So that's kinda where all this thing pick like it kicked off, right? So JT, part of his PR team is doing interviews like with Bleacher Report and he's out there saying, No, I knew nothing of it. I didn't know anything. I found out like when y'all found out.
And Jaylen Brown immediately in the comments, cap. Then he follows it up. He's got a great PR team. So now because he's calling out the fact that Jayson Tatum has a great PR team. Guess what happens? Well, that PR team gets into action. So we have Sirius XM NBA Radio.
A channel that I myself used to work for. Full transparency. Used to work there for you know a number of years, produced a bunch of shows, worked on this particular show that we're we're about to talk about. So Frank Isola, Brian Scalabrine. Brian Scalabrine is a Celtic luminary, and I use that extremely loosely because he was a bench player, role player that just so happened to be at the right place at the right time. He coined himself the white mamba. He has coined himself or turned himself into a character.
that has allowed himself to be able to be given microphones to be coined as a personality as he has he has he is a co-host of a national satellite radio NBA show. And then also he does color commentary on the Boston Celtics television network. Okay? So He then goes on that show, his radio show. Because we have two clips from Scow, all in the same day, and he's come he's gonna be uh contradicting himself or trying to clean up what he says here. later on TV. So he starts off on radio and he talks very stridently about what he thinks to say, what he believes to know went down with Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum.
So let's pull that up Yep, okay. Here we go with Scalabrine. My understanding of this thing is that he demanded to be traded, not into the media, but to the organization. So if this was what's if this is what was out there, do you actually Then why would he be mad at Chase and Tatum then? That's what I said. I don't understand. I I think I think Jaylen Brown lives in his own reality.
But because it wasn't being documented that he demanded to be traded, then I don't think that anybody anybody thinks that he could now he could say that it was Tatum's fault. Like he could just make stuff up. But my understanding is Jaylen Brown went to the organization and had a list of demands. And if it was like you either do this or you trade me. So he's jumping out the window saying, hey, this was a trade demand. He's standing ten toes down. Well, just a few hours later, you would have put the SpongeBob thing in there.
A few hours later, he goes to TV and you know He set off a firestorm. The clip went viral. There was a lot of aggregation on the clip. It created a bunch of conversations around it. My group chats were filling up with all types of stuff in regards to this. So Scal then had to spin the block on TV and kind of clean up what he said earlier on radio. On TV, now I gotta give you the cleanup.
And to be fair, after the forty eight calls I fended today and I listen, it technically it technically didn't demand to be traded. Yeah, there's some new I just summed it all up. I summed up the entire word salad. No, you said he demanded the trick. Now that it's out there, what what was his demand as far as I don't I have no idea what it I have no idea. I have no idea now. I have no idea.
The ultimatum was or the demands or whatever it was. Two hours ago, you knew that. So it technically did not demand to be traded. It was do these things right here or else Ridiculous. So within a matter of a few hours he has to spin the block and clean up what he said that morning on radio. So when Jaylen Brown says you have a great PR team, this is Exhibit A, Your Honor, because you have someone who is clearly he's employed. Not necessarily directly, the Celtics don't own this television network, but it covers Boston sports, so he has to ingratiate himself and as a luminary.
He has to ingratiate himself to the Celtics to be able to do coverage to do his job. So clearly it benefits him, it would behoove him to keep a good relationship with the Celtics. So if you're telling, hey, you're gonna rob with Jaylen Brown, or you're gonna rob with the Celtics, he's gonna rob with the Celtics. Okay, that's a hard stop. Not only because it benefits his employment, it benefits his whole persona and personality. He is only known Within the Boston Boston Celtic circle, or if you're a hardcore NBA fan or work like me working in the media, heavy in the NBA landscape. So Scal has to spin the block and clean up his comments, right?
So that's one part. So now you're kind of thinking, okay, well he kind of ran it back, and this was echoed. Because Jaylen Brown's representatives jumped out there and said, hey, look, the only request they made to Boston was for Brown and Jayson Tatum to be treated equally Okay, so while Scalabrine is out here saying that he had demands, but wouldn't specify what those demands were, even though he was heavily inferring those demands on radio. only to spend a block on TV and try to play ignorant to those demands that he spoke about earlier. Jaylen Brown and his reps are like, I don't know what the hell he's talking about. We just wanted to be treated on the same level Whenever there was trades for the Celtics to get better, very rarely did they ever include Jayson Tatum being traded. It was always Jaylen Brown's expendable.
Kevin Durant, we're gonna trade Jaylen Brown. Giannis, we're gonna trade Jaylen Brown. James Harden, we're gonna trade Jaylen Brown. It was always Jaylen Brown who was identified as the expendable piece. If I know that, you telling me someone as smart as Jaylen Brown didn't know that? So that's where we were. And this was even echoed in real time with Shams.
Let me make sure I have that sound right for that Shams went out there and said it in real time that, you know, this has nothing to do in terms of Jaylen Brown requesting a trade. This was all about You know, the Celtics deciding to move on from Jaylen Brown. The Celtics Wolf Wolfers Okay, so you heard it right there. Sham said it. This was all the Celtics. This had nothing to do with Jaylen Brown, nothing to do with you know his team or anything like that. This was purely The Celtics wanted to move on from Jaylen Brown for whatever reason.
A reason that we may not ever really know, right? But this is where we're at. So now. Just when you think, okay, well things must be calm now, right? Because Tatum had a great game last night, hit the game winner against the Nets. People going crazy about that. It's the Nets, bro.
You need the You need a game winner against the Nets. Okay, cool story, bro. But yeah, he's him. He's him. He's not a bad player. No one's here shitting on the quality of what Jayson Tatum is. But for them to go crazy over the fact that he hit a game winner against the Brooklyn Nets, what's this week two or three into the season?
Slow down. Anyway. He said in the postgame, hey, I'm over it. I'm not talking about Jaylen Brown tomorrow. We're not gonna do this back and forth stuff in the media. Cool beans. However, his PR team is refusing to let this go.
So last night, the same color commentary where we had uh where we had where we had Scal. And his guy here, Drew Carter, they were airing out Jaylen Brown during the broadcast. So in the trying to hype up Jason Taylor's performance last night against the Brooklyn Nets, they took the time out to drop more subliminals. kind of heavy handed subliminals, not really all that subliminal, but we'll we'll let it go because they didn't name him, but they inferred heavily about the uh negativeness in terms of how Jaylen Brown played last year. So we'll get into that. We're running this down chronological order brick by brick. Alright, and now we got Okay Jayson Tatum not to do more PR work for him, but 34 points, 8 assists, 16 to 20 at the line, zero turnovers.
Zero turnovers. A big fat zero turnovers for number zero. Yeah. Now if I was doing PR work for Jayson Tatum, I would remind everybody who led the league in turnovers last year. But I'm not doing that. Right there. Right there.
It's too easy. It actually is too easy. He claims it's too easy. Easy. So if case you did not know, Jaylen Brown led the league in turnovers last year, right? That is verifiable. Let me come off the screen and I'll pull up that information for you here.
That is verifiable information, right? Okay, there we go Cool. So right there you see the screenshot. Jaylen Brown indeed did league the league in turnovers. But you see who's also up here? Luka Doncic, your man Denny out there in Portland, KD, the beard, Jalen Johnson, Nikola Jokic, Cade Cunningham. So these are elite players I mean, maybe Denny might be a stretch in that conversation, but it's overall you're looking at top-tier players.
Paolo, your man's Julius Randle, the black hole that he is, Scotty Barnes, Russi, Lamello, D-Book. Spider Mitchell, like you're looking at the guys that have the ball in their hands a lot. These are high usage rates guys. And with Jaylen Brown being literally the only guy worth a damn on that Celtics team last year. I'm not surprised that he led the league in turnovers because so much was asked of him. And weren't they a two-seed still? With barely anything from Tatum until late in the year when he rushed himself to come back because we know he really think he Kobe.
Cosplay Kobe couldn't let Jaylen Brown get the shine. He couldn't let Jaylen Brown continue to cook up and damn near look like an MVP candidate with him being out and the team still playing well, so I'm gonna wheel myself back early. Couldn't let JB get all that shine by himself. If the Sun don't shine, then Sun don't shine. That is what cosplay Kobe is. So Jaylen Brown indeed did league the league in turnovers Jayson Tatum not to do more PR work for him, but 34 points, 8 assists, 16 to 20 at the line, zero turnovers. Zero turnovers A big fat zero for number zero.
Yeah. Now if I was doing PR work For Jayson Tatum, I would remind everybody who led the league in turnovers last year, but I'm not doing that. This your man's biased media. It's too easy, he thinks. He thinks it's too easy. Well. Y'all know me.
I like to get a little messy. So, yes, that is very accurate. That Jaylen Brown indeed did leave the league in turnovers last season However, though, turnovers is a stat that we could track year by year, right? So if I were to go into turnovers Let me see if I can pull this up. I should have been loaded up. If you can do turnovers year by year. There's a recurring theme when you look at uh let's go here, here, here There we go.
Okay. So let's go there there there. I'm setting this up for y'all. I want you to know we're gonna walk this down today This is an old school trash narrative that we are going to destroy live here in direct. Okay, so we have last year 2025-2026 player stat totals, right? Turnovers, number one with a bullet At 259, can y'all see that? Let me move myself up on the screen.
Give me a sec. Uh we'll go top right. Okay So you see it here, 259, and you see that is Jaylen Brown. All right, what about the year before? 2025, 20, 2024, 2025 season. Let's go to turnovers. Let's sort by highest.
Trey Young with the most. Okay. Cade Cunningham, the beard, LeBron, Ant. Oh, we didn't even know it. Here's Jayson Tatum. Here's Jayson Tatum. Is he top ten?
Oh, he is ninth. He is ninth in turnovers. turnovers. And this is with Jaylen Brown. Interesting. So wait a minute. We can dunk all over Jaylen Brown for leading the league in turnovers with no Jayson Tatum.
But Jayson Tatum the year before that was top ten in turnovers, and that was with Jaylen Brown. Interesting. Interesting. Well maybe maybe that's just a one-off. Maybe that's just a happenstance, a co winky dink, right? Let's go to the gift before that. Walk this down.
Okay. Huh, man. Lucas here a lot when it comes to turnovers. Good lord. You know, keep going, keep going. Okay, so we don't see him in the top. Oh, wait, there he is.
Wow, Tatum's there again, right outside the top 20 in turnovers. All right, again, that has to just be Maybe you know a couple of rough stretches. Let 's go to 2022, 2023. Certainly this can't keep going. Certainly that just had to be a just quick little back-to-back. Oh no, there's Tatum again. Tatum right outside at number 12 in most turnovers in the league.
And again, this is with Jaylen Brown. Because Jaylen Brown doesn't miss as much time as Jayson Tatum. So you're telling me Jaylen Brown again on his own, on his lonesome with an inferior roster, had the most turnovers in the league. So let's slam Dunkel over him. But here is Jayson Tatum. With significantly better rosters, championship contending rosters, and he is routinely top 10 to 20 in most turnovers in the league. I mean let's go one more year.
Let's just try one more year. Maybe maybe I'm bugging. Maybe I'm I'm reaching. No, there's Tatum again, man, at 12. Wow, see he is routinely in the upper echelon of the league in turnovers Yet the PR team of Scalabrine and Drew, who was the dude's name? Drew what? Drew Carter?
I don't even know this dude's name. Going to find this Drew Carter. Yeah. The combo of Drew Carter and Brian Scalabrine are slam dunking all over the fact that for one gear Bias lonesome as the clear-cut number one option, Jace Jaylen Brown led the league in turnovers, ignoring the fact that every year prior to that Jayson Tatum was routinely at the top of turnovers. And you wonder why. Jaylen Brown said what he said. There's no beef.
You know, Jayson comes from a wonderful family. We've accomplished some great things. He's a hell of a basketball player. He got a great PR team. A great PR team. It's no beef, but great PR team. Chops and some gravy.
Just some lamb chops. Just stay ready at all times. Stay ready at all times because when you start to break it down, Tatum is right there at the top of the league every single year. In turnovers. 200 plus turnovers a year. Like that is astronomical. You saw the list.
It's the top of the top guys. 209, 188, 213, 217. This is astronomical numbers when it comes to turnovers. These are big numbers. So as much as the PR team thing could be laughed off, this is what Jaylen Brown is talking about. You have two dudes on Boston Celtics TV throwing subs and subliminals at Jaylen Brown, ignoring the fact that Tatum was parentally Or annually in the top 10 or upper half top 20 every year in turnovers. And you wonder why Jaylen Brown said what he said.
There's no beef. You know Jayson comes from a wonderful family. We've accomplished some great things. He's a hell of a basketball player. He got a great PR team. Great PR team. There's no beef, but Be a little lamb chops and some gravy.
You know what I mean? It should stay ready at all times. So whether it's Bill Simmons, whether it's the whole ringer thing as a conglomerate, whether it's you know, uh uh the the Low Podcast or the Low Post Podcast, whether it's, you know, Jackie McMillan, um, whether it's Bob Ryan, whether it's all those Celtic Boston national media members Who will do all things to protect the sanctity of the Celtics? This is what Jaylen Brown's talking about We can have the white mamba and some TV play-by-play guy out here setting it up because don't act like that will spur the moment. Either Scal or Drew Carter or maybe the producers, somebody over there set that up and they queued each other up and it was like a lob. Drew Carter lobbed that up for Scowl. Jayson Tatum not to do more PR work for him, but that's the lobby points, eight assists, 16 to 20 at the line.
That's a lot zero turnovers. Zero turnovers. They just so happen to know that off the top of their head. No statistician didn't no statistician gave that to him. I'm sure they just came out on their own. He didn't practice that line during the commercial break. It's too easy.
It's too easy. It actually is too easy. It's too easy. It's also too easy to go online and look up the fact that Tatum was top 10 to 20 in turnovers in the league the four years prior to the one year you're dunking on Jaylen Brown about. I'll hit the chat I say y'all are active out there, so let's get to it. As a Boston Celtics fan, it's amazing how quickly friends turn into bitter enemies. Well here's the thing, they weren't ever really friends.
I don't think th they were just coworkers, bro. They were coworkers, they were colleagues, they were everything but friends, to be quite honest. I think if anything has been cemented with this back and forth, it's the fact that they were not actually friends. Because I think if they were actually friends It wouldn't be going down like this. Like when the whole Russell Westbrook and Keba Durant thing, people thought they were actually friends, kinda found out they weren't actually really friends, they were just co-workers, homies, buddies, whatever. But friends is different, right? Friends is a whole different thing.
So to me, they were never really friends. I think that's been cemented in this whole back and forth. Colleagues, co-workers, buddies? Sure. Friends? No. So I don't think this is now driving a stake between them or whatever.
And other players have even have even echoed that. Like Baron Davis has said some things about um Jayson Tatum, you know, allegedly stat padding during the finals because he was trying to get that finals MVP. We all know that finals MVP was the straw that broke the camel 's back. That finals MVP when Jaylen Brown finally got his just to do, when the NBA media gave the finals MVP, deservedly so, to Jaylen Brown, that hurt Jayson Tatum's feelings because that man really think he Kobe. He is cosplay Kobe, even down to thinking he could get the finals MVP like Kobe did. Appreciate the comment. 410 was good.
Is there anything behind what Teague was saying on 520? Uh if you're talking about what Teague was saying, Teak was saying uh what was that? I did not Pull that up, refresh my memory what Teague was saying. He I I pulled some stuff that he was saying about Giannis and what it is to play with Giannis. I don't have the stuff about him talking about Tatum and Brown. So let me know what that is and I'll get to it. Chris in the chat was good, Chris.
It was written in the last season when Jaylen said that was his favorite season The season where Tatum was down and they only had a few appearances at the end of the year and a bit of the playoffs. Yeah, no, that's real. Like Jaylen Brown was waiting for an opportunity to prove that he could be the number one. Because by default he was always assumed or presumed to be the number two because everyone assumed Jayson Tatum's the star Like it wasn't necessarily a Michael Jordan Scottie Pippen thing, but it was definitely more so to me like a Russell Westbrook Kevin Durant thing. Like everyone knew Russell Westbrook was good. Great, even elite, but everyone knew Kevin Durant was the one. Similar type of deal.
Where JB's like, well, who said that Tatum's better than me or that much better than me if he's better than me at all? Who says if you don't give me the keys that I can't take this team far? And he did. So once that happens, so you compound the fact of it's Tatum and Brown, Tatum and Brown, but yet anytime that there's a trade package on the table. of substance for the Celtics to get better, Jaylen Brown was always the expendable piece. When you add into the fact that when they get to a championship and finally break through, Jaylen Brown is given finals MVP over Jayson Tatum And then you have a scenario where Jayson Tatum is out for the year and everyone assumes that the Celtics were going to be either tanking or rebuilding. They're one of the better teams in the league and Jaylen Brown is playing like an MVP.
So yeah, when you add all that up, it's like yeah, you need to treat me like I'm on equal footing with Tatum. You can't keep little broing me. I'm not Lil Bro. I'm not the sidekick. I'm not the number two. It is a true 1-1 -A scenario and you need to act accordingly. And the Celtics, we're not willing to do that, allegedly The disconnect is why you would do business within a division and conference That is the rule.
Like yeah, see that's the thing that stood out to me the most about the move is that not only do you get rid of him within your conference, you get rid of him within your division. So my thinking is Did you think so low of him, so less of him, that you felt like we can even trade him within a division and it's not going to impact anything? Did they truly think that? Did they truly value the fact of Paul George was so good and so necessary to supplant the loss of Jaylen Brown that we're willing to trade within our own division? Paul George. 36-year-old Paul George. You're trying to sell to me that 36-year-old Paul George is so valuable that it's worth trading over a younger, better asset.
To a division foe? To a fellow championship contending foe? In my own division. I find that hard to believe. Y'all let me know. That was a lot to break down. I hope y'all enjoyed breaking it down brick by brick during the whole timeline.
That is the chronological order of where we stand from Tatum starting with the bleach report thing. Brown calling cap, to Brown saying it's not beef, it's lamb chops, to then the PR team are part of the Boston Celtic, part of the Jayson Tatum PR team of Scalabrine. jumping in there saying JB wanted to trade the man only to have him to run that back and spin that back and cop please on TV and clean it up saying I don't know anything Only to then double down the next night on TV trying to insinuate and call out the fact that Jayson Tatum had zero turnovers in a game against the Brooklyn Nets? And using that to leverage the fact that Jaylen Brown led the league in turnovers last year, ignoring the fact that Jayson Tatum has routinely been in the top 10 -20 in turnovers the prior four years. That was a lot to break down. Alright, so let me look up the Jeff Teague thing real quick and see if I could pull up what uh Jeff Teague, Jayson Tatum. Let's see Oh, okay.
I remember reading this. I won't play the sound because of copyright, but we could read it. Alright, here we go. So don't want to be on that part of the screen. No, let's go upper right. Okay, there we go. Okay.
Jeff Teague says when he played for Boston, there was always some tension between Tatum and Brown, quote, it wasn't bad tension, it was competitive tension, like JB was a number three pick. JT came the next year, number three pick JT started immediately. JB had to work for his. It was just a little competitive beef, like they think he better than me kind of thing. So JB has always JB always been for the fight like JB had his time last year. JT was out. He showed what he can do that he was an elite player.
So now JB like I want to be in the same conversations. They put your name in. I mean I think that's kind of what we've broken down here. I think that's kind of what we discussed Because yeah, I mean it's very clear. Like it doesn't take you don't have to be in a Celtics locker room to be able to decipher that, to be quite honest. Like I think the real the real good comparison is Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant. Because we all saw the meme of Russie looking at that MVP trophy when KD got it.
He's like, that should be me. I I want to get an MVP one day. And he eventually did get one. The thing with Tatum and Brown is more so of, hey, everyone just assumes you're better than me. And I've never gotten a chance to prove that not only is that not an automatic thing, I might even be better than you at leading a team. So then he goes and he shows that he could do that. He goes and shows that he could be that type of player, be that type of leader, be that type of number one option Now here comes cosplay Kobe trying to come back trying to come back early trying to do the you know the uh the mamba mentality thing trying to come back early off of a devastating injury and he did not look like himself and it hurt the team The PR team wants nothing to do with that discussion.
The PR team says nothing about that. They just lawed the fact that Cosplay Kobe came back early. That PR team thing is real. There's no beef. You know, Jayson comes from a wonderful family. We've accomplished some great things. He's a hell of a basketball player.
He got a great PR team. Great PR team. Snow beef, but snow beef. Little lamb chops. You know what I mean? Lamb chops and gravy. I used to kill that back in the day.
Lamb chops and gravy? A little rice? Alright, so where do we go from there? Let me know if you want to keep going on the Celtics thing. We could do that. I just wanted to get my take out there and just kind of break that down for you all. If you want to keep going with that, let me know.
The chat is always open. Okay, so sticking on MBA for one w one more little bit is this. This is as of tonight. Okay. A whopping 79 players are listed on today's 2. 30 p. m.
injury report. That's roughly 15% of the league. Do you understand how catastrophic that is? 15% of the entire league is on the injury report. That is horrible, bro. Horrible. And it's not just minor players being injured.
These are big time players that are out. Ant-Man down. Boardman. Kawhi Leonard down. Like these are notable players. Halliburton who just came back. From a devastating injury down again.
Like this is not good for the league, but it just bakes into the question of how is this happening? Again, I'm an 80s baby. I've watched a lot of basketball. I don't recall so many injuries to players happening this early in the season How is this happening? Well, if you want to take a look at it, the game has been sped up. The notion that today's players are bigger, stronger, faster, better, more knowledgeable, more this, more that Everyone just assumes Jim Jackson's the latest one, just saying these players are so much better, so more fundamentally sound and da-da-da-da. And again, while that's a easy thing to say, because of course, right?
Like no one's disputing That today's players have access to way more things than players even 10 years ago. We didn't even talk about 30, 40, 50 years ago, than even 10 years ago. They have way more access to stuff, way more hyper hyper -isolated training, better film study, better everything. Across the board, better nutrition, better uh metric tracking, all of it, analytic data, all of it. So it is not saying something crazy by saying today's today's players are better. Today's players are more fundamentally sound, more skilled. That doesn't mean what you think.
It's the natural evolution of things. What is not true is that these players are better in the sense of if you take the best of the 80s against the best of the 2020s, that the 2020s are going to wash the 80s. Because if you're taking players from the 80s and bringing them to the 2020s, you have to give them all the same advantages players from the 2020s have. To make it even. So if you give Michael Jordan three-point shooting prowess, if you give Charles Barkley creatine, if you give Karim Abdul Jabbar even more polyometrics in yoga. Like it's going to be different. If I bring Wilt from the 60s and 70s, Seeing the freak of nature, the freak of athletic nature that he was during his time, and then drop him in the 2020s?
And give him peptides and creatine? Can you imagine Wilt on Retta? On that GLP on the Ozempi? Ozempi and Creatine Wilt? Anywho, so right now an NBA game averages two hundred and three possessions Five years ago that number was 198 again. This goes into the faster faster everything is faster speed speed speed This is not just the Dan Tony seven seconds or less. This is just everyone just being faster, getting up and down.
The more shots, the more probability, the higher probability it is that you're going to score, the likelihood you're going to score. increases by how many possessions you actually possess the ball, right? The more chances you have to score, the higher you're going to score. That's the thought process. So just five years ago, it was 198 Five years before that, it was 192. So in 10 years, in just under 10 years, they have increased the game and sped the game up by 11 possessions. And then if you want to go further than that fifteen years ago, it is what's that sixteen to sixteen, that's almost Yeah, because it'd be 183.
Almost 20 more possessions in just 15 years. And if you want to go further, 17% of all possessions are now picked up in the backcourt. Five years ago it was 10%. Ten years ago it was 6. 5% because the game was slower. So now teams are being picked up in the backcourt to force the tempo to force another shot to be put up. So the other team so the defense can corral the rebound and create another possession for themselves.
Okay, so there's a lot of things happening here. Early season usage leaders versus time of possession. Okay. You're seeing the usual suspects. Your man's Luca here. His usage rate 41. That is such an astronomical number.
40% usage rate, you're talking about the beard at his prime in Houston. You're talking about Russie when he got the triple doubles and was MVP. Like y'all know how much of a ball hog those guys were. This is that same territory for Luca and he is always around this number. But even Ant-Man, we're talking about Ant-Man that's playing with LaMelo Ball. He finally has a true point guard And he's out here and he's got 37%. We round up here.
36. 6 is 37%. He's got a 37% usage rate. And he has a point guard. Brandon Miller, now with no Lamello, truly has the ball in his hands a lot. This makes sense. 34 and a half, we'll round up 35% usage rate.
Darius Acov got them going crazy out there in Sacramento. Rookie who is loves his own shot. He is a true nut. 33% usage rate for a rook on a team with vets, mind you. He's getting that off And your man's Giannis down there in South Beach, who I thought we were supposed to unleash point bam and bam out of 33% usage rate for the Nigerian freak Giannis Antotokumpo. Oh, by the way, Dajamans Tatum, 32% usage rate. But let's not bring up, you know, his turnovers from the last few years.
The now one and three New York Knicks, Jalen Brunson, the defending champion, New York Knicks, giving their props. SGA is always up there. And even Ty Jerome, who's been going crazy out there in Memphis the first couple of games. If you got him and some prop bets, ride the wave of Ty Jerome. But anyway, so this is what we're talking about And at the time of possession, like minutes per game. Eleven minutes of a game. Luka Donkich has the ball in his hands.
Now 11 minutes doesn't sound a lot, but that's the time of possession. Eleven minutes of an entire game, the ball's in his hands. Some nasty trends, right? So if we want to keep going a down the usage rate pathway Probably see if I can make this big on its own. I don't know if it'll blow up. No, I'm probably not. Okay.
Alright. So we'll just have to use this So these are all-time highest usage rates for an entire season. Okay. You see, Luca, I think this was before last night. So going into last night, his numbers were at 42% usage rate. The highest usage rate of all time was Russie at 41. 6.
And I think that was the uh the MVP year 2016, 2017. Before that it was the beard in Houston, 2018, 2019. You can see Giannis, Kobe, Russia again in Jordan. Jordan here at 38 usage rate, but this is 86-87. So this is young Mike with no help. This is young Mike with no help. Once he got some help, once he got the triangle offense, he scaled all that back.
But you see how many times Luca is here? One, two, three times. He's three times in the top ten. And y'all wonder why I call him Slovenian Harden. And there he is again at thirteen and sixteen. Like this is a ball dominant man. He knows nothing more than to have the ball in his hand.
So how good is he actually? And then you see Giannis up there a lot, but at least Giannis was able to break through and get a chip. There's Jaylen Brown. That was last year. 36. was his usage rate with no help last year. That PR team.
So there is a lot to look into there. Okay. We'll hit the chat. I just don't think anybody played for real in their first month or so. I mean that's true but does again hurt though. Like if it was load managing I would be more more aligned to agree with you But like dudes are dudes are legitimately getting hurt. Like Halliburton legitimately got hurt.
Ant was trying to play through an injury that he could have gotten done that maybe now in hindsight should have gotten cleaned up over the summer But he wanted to play through it, but then he tweaked it over the weekends. So now he's got to sit down for some weeks. Like, you know, Kawhi, if you look at the Raptors schedule, they have a West Coast trip. And he played the Lakers. You can know who they play after that. They play the Clippers. So I don't know.
I don't know if Kawhi is trying to duck the smoke of returning to, you know, the Intuit Dome. And all of that. But you know, it makes a little, it seems like it seems to be a little bit of a coincidence that the boardman doesn't want to make that LA West Coast trip All right. Uh speaking of which we got Gil who is making some comments. Let's see We'll get into Gil's comments. Gil on why superstar players are getting hurt into NBA Uh I see it again as a guy that's a track runner and I'm looking at the history of the game, the early 2000s, 90s, 80s, 70s, 60s, star players didn't get hurt this much. There's a reason the star is getting hurt this much.
Because what happens is if you're not really training and getting in shape and you're just letting them in the summer looking good, come into the season, bullshit through training camp, and then go out in the game and play against another superstar. That superstar is going to go a hundred. for the first time that is what's happening. So KJ, much to your point, Gill is inclined to agree with you I think this is a easy, too easy of an excuse. Cause if you're telling me players like Shaq, admittedly Would do next to nothing in the offseason and come in and play his way into shape. Shaq rarely got hurt early in the season. So, and this is a dude that got notoriously beat up throughout the season.
So he would take the whole offseason off Come into camp fat and out of shape, which missed, which always pissed Cody off. And Shaq would not Get these little ticky-tack injuries when he would go into the season and start to play that weight off. So what's the rationale there? And that's 90s and 2000s. That ain't even 80s, 70s, and 60s like Gill is referencing here. This is recent memory. Charles Barkley, another guy that at times did not take off season seriously.
He said the only time he took the offseason serious was when he was on the dream team in 92. And then he came into that year and he played the best ball of his career and got the MVP in 93. But besides that year, he was another guy that would, because of the beating he took, he wouldn't go that hard in the summer. He wouldn't come into the league and within the first month or two of the season have all these nagging injuries. So what's the rationale there? And that's 80s and 90s. Karim Abdul Jabbar was playing at the rucker.
Dr. J would play at the rucker. That's sixties and seventies. Wilt would go play for the Globetrotters. He would go play beach volleyball. He would go work out on Muscle Beach. Come back and still drop fifty a game.
I think this is too easy of an excuse. The real problem, and it's something I've talked about on my podcast for a very long time, so I'll bring it back up here, is the fact that AAU Ball has these players, travel ball in AAU Ball has these players playing so much more basketball that by the time they get to the league, even though these players are 18, 19 years old, their bodies are actually 28, 29, 30 years old. When you add in the amount of travel, when you add in the amount of extra games, the wear and tear, the amount of jumping, the cartilage of a of a n uh of a fifteen year old basketball player in the eighties has significantly less wear and tear on it compared to a fifteen year old in twenty twenty six that plays ball. That's the real problem is that these injuries are happening faster and sooner because they're playing so much more developmental basketball. That's the part. That's what it is. And while we keep trying to twist ourselves to finding out the latest reason as to why It really just comes down to these dudes are playing so much more basketball than prior generations.
For better or for worse. You want to be Bigger, faster, stronger, more skilled, more fundamentally sound, and have people like Jim Jackson waxing poetic about you, then that means your body is going to tear down that much more faster. So you want to be the generation that is the bigger, stronger, faster, better, more skilled era. Okay, cool. That comes at the expense of all your cartilage before the age of 30. You want that? You let me know.
Because that to me is where it lands. That to me is where it is. Because if you're actually trying to make sense of it, it comes down to the point of AAU ball, travel ball, developmental ball, one-on-one training All of that stuff can help your game grow without a doubt, right? Especially with paired with the right trainer, not these scammer trainers, the right trainer. But you're actually playing significantly more basketball at an earlier age as your muscles develop as your tendons develop as your cartilage develop that cartilage is not infinite It has a duration. And the way that these players come into the league and there's so many players that tear the ACLs before the age of 30. And it's just like it's just the expectation like you know what's going to happen, it's just a matter of when.
That was not always the case When Dominique Wilkins tore his ACL, that sent shockwaves through the entire sports world. What do you mean Dominique Wilkins tore his ACL? What the hell is that? Now it's such a such a common occurrence. It's like, oh yeah, another guy down with his ACL, another guy towards Achilles. Okay. Alright.
It's just gonna happen. When Dominic when it happened to Dominique, it was like, yo, is he gonna play again? What type of injury is that? It was such an uncommon thing. Now it's like you could look through a whole team and count how many ACL injuries have already transpired, whether it's in college, high school, or in the league. You could just go through a roster and say, yep, he tore his Achilles. Yep, he tore his ACL.
Yep, he tore his MCL. You could just go right through it. What do they all have in common? They are all participating. in the system of AAU ball and travel ball. You don't have to jump through hoops and try to make it be something more than what it really is. You don't have to come in here and say, oh well, guys are coasting in the summer, then they come in and then they the first time they try to go full speed, they fall down and go boom.
That sounds good That sounds good for a bite. That sounds good for a sound bite, and it'll go viral. But it ain't the truth The truth is that these dudes have way more basketball mileage on their bodies than prior generations at similar ages. And until we can just have that moment and let that sink in and accept it, the sooner we'll be able to move forward and deal with the fact that Entering tonight's games, 15% of the league is on the injury report. We'll hit the chat. KJ, great point about AAU ball shoot. I remember when people didn't play basketball year round unless your people dude like that's real though because Number one, dudes used to play multiple sports, right?
Like you would play ball in, you know, ball in whatever time of the year it was, and then you might go play football, you might go play baseball, you might go do track, you might go do something else. Like you had multiple sport dudes. Like all the dudes that we thought about back in the day, they used to play multiple sports because that was just a thing. Like you took time off from ball. That's another layer. It's it's the travel ball, it's the AAU ball. Then you have the fact of you're playing ball all year round.
So in addition to travel ball, in addition to AAU ball, in addition to one-on-one training and specialized training and all that type of stuff, you now have dudes that only play basketball So your bodies are not adapting, are not adapting to different movement movements. You're not running track You're not playing football. You're not playing baseball. You're not playing soccer. You're not playing volleyball. You're not doing any of those other things. You're only just doing ball.
I know ball is life. I get it. I live by it at one point in time. But when it comes right down to it, the hypersensationalizing of just focusing on the one thing, of making every sport as a monolith. You can't have any crossover stuff. That also is a contributing factor to these dudes bodies falling down and going boom. Now you see it seen it in the women's game where Juju is falling down and going boom.
Juju already How much wear and tear is on her knees? Like that's that to me is the more troubling thing. Like we're taking that we're taking the AAU Wear and tear that has existed in the men's game and now it's already transferred over into the women's game. What else we got here in the chat? KJ, you're absolutely correct. We all used to play other sports, at least one of them. Yeah, that 's the fact.
That's a fact. Every sport had a season. Every sport had a season. Yo, is it basketball season? Alright, cool. That's done. Alright, I'm gonna go off a track Alright, it's it's football season.
Alright, that's done. Alright, I'm gonna go out for baseball. Like we all play multiple sports because all of us growing up play multiple sports. You know, I played football, I did basketball, I did baseball, did track, we did all that stuff growing up. Now it's like if you're a basketball player, you play basketball. If you're a football player, you play football And I get it, there's a financial benefit, potential financial benefit on the end of it. We also can't be ignorant to the fact that the odds are so stacked against each individual player making it that we need to take that into account.
So we got that there. All right, so we tackled all of that. Hug a man's Pat McAfee We got more sound, more sound. Your man's Pat McGaffee is a little sensitive. He got big mad at the University of Utah. The hell is up with your man 's? So I'll jump.
I won't do it, dude. I will not do this in chronological order because I think the story we just need to jump into the meat and potatoes of it The University of Utah has apologized to Pat McAfee over a video where students did impressions of him before Utah hosted College Game Day. Okay, so you can still read the rest of the screen there if you want. But I'm also going to play the sound of what that video was. It was up on their Instagram account. I'm not sure if they have fully taken it down yet. But let me pull up the McAfee vid.
Where is that? Okay. So here is the IG reel that Utah put together. So what they basically did was they went around campus the night before or the morning of, I'm not sure, and they Went to different college students and they interviewed them and they and they asked them or dared them to do a Pat McAfee impression. And this is what they got. Give me your best Pat McAfee impression. I'd say like Pat McAfee, he's gonna say a corny line, he's gonna be like, Houston, we got a problem.
Give me the Utah Utes! I would actually spend my money on On the odds of Pat ripping a shirt off this morning. I'm not ripping off my shirt. Bro, Pat. Bro, Pat, Pat, Pat. Pat, we love you, bro, but like Bro, keep the shirt on. No one's trying to see that.
Like, we don't care. These are I these are college kids, bro. Like, keep your shirt on, homie. GOM! Okay, so that's what got McAfee all in the tizzy, right? That's what got McAfee big mad. It's the fact that that video was posted on the University of Utah account On the eve of them hosting College Game Day.
Okay? McAfee said that the video made him, quote, uncomfortable. Before taking the stage, then alluded to the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Yes, you got that right. You read that right. He alluded to the assassination of Charlie Kirk. You don't believe me?
I got the sound standby. Right before I go out there. I see the University of Utah's Instagram page. Okay? The un the the universities. This is This is our univer this is how we are. They put out eight you do an impression of Pat McAfee and one kid goes, ah, he's corny.
Another kid calls me creepy Okay, if these kids would have done this on their own blogs, all good. I mean everybody's taking shots of me anyways for everything. I get it. If the two ladies that were hosting that put that out on their own blog I'd be okay with hey you're allowed to do what you're the university puts that out I like as I'm about to go out and do an infomercial for the place And then I'm walking in front of thousands of these people. This is how the university feels about it. It's an uncomfortable feeling. I'm like this is you know, I'm gett I'm getting a lot of shrapnel from a lot of places.
The university is putting this out. That is Point of Words. Really in my entire life. So I it kinda set me off a little bit. Victimized. Made me feel a little bit weird, I would say. Made me feel a little bit weird.
Weird. And then I thought to myself, has anything like really scary happened at like a college gathering in the state of Utah recently. Like do we think we should be amplifying reasons for why people hate my guts as a university? I don't know. Do you understand the level of victimhood, the level of victim blaming, to make yourself a martyr? To try to compare yourself to Charlie Kirk? You think a couple of kids out here calling you corny?
And insinuating that you're a creep. The dude just said, just don't take your shirt off. That they're college students. We don't need you with your dad by taking your shirt off. That made you feel like you were gonna be assassinated? Give me your best Pat McAfee impression. I'd say like Pat McAfee, he's gonna say a corny line, he's gonna be like that that made you feel for your life.
This is what made you feel for your life. This is what made him feel for his life. I'm not ripping off my shirt. Bro, Pat, bro, Pat, Pat, Pat, Pat, we love you bro, but like bro, keep the shirt off. They said they love you. kids bro like keep your shirt on homie they said that they love you just keep your shirt on you thought you might be assassinated What are we doing? This man feels he's that big.
This man feels he is that important. That he is liable to be assassinated and compared himself to what happened to Charlie Kirk? And he says, quote, it made him feel uncomfortable. The video that said, hey, please, 40 plus year old man, keep your shirt on. We're a bunch of teenagers. We don't need to see you with your shirt off. We're supposed to be the ones running around raging, you know, beer ponging our way through, you know, our early twenties.
Not you. Keep your shirt on. Don't say a corny line like Houston, we have a problem or something. Just don't say something corny. You thought that felt That made you uncomfortable? You felt that that was enough to make you feel uncomfortable? You felt that was enough to make you feel like you might be martyred Or assassinated in Utah like Charlie Kirk?
And he is getting away with this. To school apologized. Do you understand how problematic that is? Do you understand how that is wet wildly too much power for one person to have? If you watch the Malcolm X movie, where Malcolm was outside the police precinct and then outside the hospital when Brother Johnson got lumped up. And Malcolm put his hands up, and then he went like that with his finger, his point of finger, and then the nation turned and then walked away in unison In the white, I don't know if he was a police chief or whatever, was like that's too much power for one man to have. This is eerily reminiscent of that McAfee could sit here And talk about the fact of, yo, these dudes call me corny on IG.
I'm uncomfortable They insinuated that I was a creep because I want to be a raging frat boy that's way too old to be on campus? I'm trying to cosplay a frat boy as I'm more than likely double the age of most frat boys on this campus. And they're calling me out for it, saying, hey, just keep your shirt on. I feel like I might get assassinated. That is too much power for one man to have. The University of Utah should not have apologized. There is no reason for them to apologize.
It is an asinine thing for them to bow down at the feet of not just the four letter network. But of Pat McAfee. And it gets deeper Because now we're getting reports that the FBI, the Alphabet Boys, reportedly advised Pat McAfee to wear a bulletproof vest On college game day, the weekend after Charlie Kirk was killed in 2025. So I'm trying to understand. Who in a right mind is actually trying to kill Pat McAfee? I don't understand it Everyone says that they love Pat McAfee. I'm sure he he clearly has his detractors, this this uh YouTube channel being one of them.
Only because I know as a person that's worked in the industry how the sausage is made on his program and others like it. I don't have nothing against the man personally. I think he's a scammer. I think he's a grifter. But hey, he got to the bag. Salute. But for the alphabet boys to tell this man, hey, you should probably wear a bulletproof vest like he's 50 cent during get rich or die trying.
Who was trying to gun down Pat McAfee? I don't get it. Yeah, y'all let me know if y'all know of anything about that. I do not. I just don't understand it. But it's just trying to understand the fact that he built his career on YouTube on a platform like this and built up a audience, a community That was hardcore that built him the the financial independence to be able to go to ESPN and say I'm not going to sign over my company to you or my YouTube page to you. We're going to license this shit to you.
And I'm gonna have all the rights and I'm gonna own everything in spite of all the other deals prior that went the other way. I have enough faith in my community that they're gonna show up big for me and continue to show up big for my YouTube. In building up that community, I'm sure he got cooked in the comments throughout the entire journey. And I'm sure he had to endure that and move past that and not care about that. He worked for the WWE. I don't know if he's still contracted, but at one point in time he was actively. Showing up on WWE.
And it took a while for that audience to warm up to him. And even then, he still faced criticism. for how he would be during the broadcast and overselling and all that type of stuff. And then when he overexposed himself too much, the crowd backfired on him and he had to peel himself back a little bit. To what to where now I don't see him a lot in the mix at all on WWE. But even in that, he had to endure a lot of criticism Now you telling me someone that had to endure the YouTube comment section building up an empire, someone that had to endure the WWE and the wrestling community. To build himself up through those ranks is now to the point where he can't even take it pause from a couple of Utah youth students.
Give me your best Pat McAfee impression. I'd say like Pat McAfee, he's gonna say a corny line, he's gonna be like Houston we got a problem give me the you dry youth I would actually spend what are we talking about on the odds of Pat ripping his shirt off this morning I'm not ripping off my shirt bro Pat bro Pat Pat we love you bro but like bro keep the shirt on no one's trying to see that like that's all they're asking these are I these are college kids keep your shirt on your shirt on homie That's it just keep your shirt on bro Ain't nobody trying to kill you, just keep your shirt on. And I think this here is a very poignant thing to kind of navigate and look at. Pat McAfee is creating the conditions by which this entire setup at ESPN will become unsustainable. ESPN had him caged within a two-hour window each day, referring to the Pat McAfee show. That was a workable situation. By workable s situation he's meaning in the sense of the McAfee experience being loud, brash, vulgar, all that stuff.
It was confined to just a two hour window. And it was driving money, driving revenue, driving popularity, driving ratings. Cool. You can deal with all the stuff as long as you're only worried about him in that two-hour window But now, much like Fraude A, Fraude Smith, who is overworked and underpaid, where Stephen A's gotta have his hands in everything Because he's so polarizing, you got to bring that everywhere to help spread that along. Now, McAfee is being, I think, overextended. Because now they're creating all these altcasts and these extra roles like game day. They have created a monster they can no longer control because they are dependent on this fan base.
So because he has built up this audience that has followed him from YouTube to ESPN, and he has continued to build upon that everywhere he's gone. He's pulled people from WWE. He's pulled people from every step of the way and have brought them to the four-letter network. When the four letter four-letter network was beginning to decline in terms of a certain demographic. Now there is a resurgence in that certain demographic. And a large part of that is due to Pat McAfee Now, what are you gonna do? Because clearly he is overextending himself.
And what was the number? Do we have the numbers here? Oh, this is the other number. There was a number that they did an alt cast because they're gonna they're gonna go crazy with this uh Super Bowl coming up. It's the first ESPN Super Bowl. They're going balls to the wall with all types of additional content alt uh podcast or alt cast and all that stuff McAfee is gonna be front and center between him and Fraday front and center in all of it And some of the all casts that they have done, the ratings have not panned out. The manning cast, the numbers are continuing to dive.
Now they got the alt cats with McAfee. Those numbers are even worse than the Manning Cast numbers They are overextending themselves, but because of the deal that they have signed, they need that audience, so they still need McAfee. So the narrative is still going to be put him on everything so we can bring his audience to everything. The problem is that they're starting to not show up for everything because it's too much. But He looks to part and he'll bounce back and he'll be fine. The second piece of this is that McAfee put out an album And this goes into Dan Orlovsky. And I got some Dan Orlovsky sound.
And we're going to get into that in a minute. Because Dan Orlovsky sets one of the dumbest things and said it on Pat McAfee's show. Because of course But Dan Olofsky. McAfee put out an album this year. Yes, he did. And in promotion, in promotion for that. Darnolopsky tweeted this out when it comes to the album.
This album is legit good good. They say the good die young and I'm scared I'm great. So again, he's already putting he think he pock. Does Pan McAfee think he Tupac? Because this is This type of language, they say the good die young and I'm scared I'm great. So if the good die young, then the great must die young, right? He think he pocked Pat McAfee is out here singing, rapping, yodeling, whatever, like hip-hop.
He's walking around with a bulletproof vest on game day. He's inciting, claiming martyrdom. Like Charlie Kirk, like McAfee Thank Heap. But Orlovsky says something extremely dumb on his show, where Orlovsky is held in high regard in terms of his football prowess and his football uh Awareness, not as a player, as a commentator, as an analyst, all that type of stuff, right? So Orlovsky was on McAfee show and he did not know what percent actually meant I shit you not. The man who ran out the back of the end zone as a starting NFL quarterback. Does not or did not know up until this past weekend what percent actually meant.
Don't believe me, here it is. Okay, so Hambo this morning was like Joe Burrow, his sack rate is four percent. And I said Dumb this down for me. Why like no humans gonna hear me say that and I'm gonna make them smarter? He goes, Well, what do you mean? I said, what does that actually mean? He goes, Well, out of every a hundred dropbacks He's getting sacked four times and I said is that really what it is like it's always out of a hundred and he's like per cent okay oh per centile Okay.
Centennial market. Cent is 100, yeah, per 100. You're a jackass, dude. I knew 1% was out of 100, yeah. This is top tier content by the way. 50% out of a hundred. So what's 50%?
This is your Super Bowl coverage. And I didn't know Your whole life you've been playing. Did you go to school? Did you have a grade? 25% of a game. And I didn't know it was. This man ran out the back of the end zone.
You knew per s percent was per cent, like cent meaning a hundredth century or something. No, we didn't I don't think we knew the word about that, but we all knew it was out of a hundred. He played 12 years in the league. The most important position in the sport. The most important position in the sport. We're the smartest of the smart. Normally your QB is the smartest player, right?
Because you have to remember so much, retain so much information, decipher so much information in real time. This guy did that for 12 years and he did not know what percent meant. And you wonder why he ran out the back of the end zone unbeknownst to himself. He had no football awareness. Can't make this shit up, man. Can't make this shit up Alright, what else we got? Oh yeah, I was talking about the McAfee thing with the ratings.
I thought I didn't pull it, but here it is. Boom. McAfee and his debut Monday Night Football effort. So they did like an all cast side by side with the Monday Night Football regular broadcast. It was actually outdrawn or outrated by a next gen stats telecast on NFL network. Okay, so ESPN, the game itself, did uh 6. 6 mil.
ABC, which is a simulcast of Monday Night Football, they did 10. mil ESPN2, which was the McAfee Altcast, did only 351,000 And the next gen stats altcast did 469 K. If you want more numbers. He had 351 K viewers. That is around half of what the Mannings have received. ESPN declined to confirm the McAfee numbers, which is not common practice, which means they ducking from the smoke. They running from the numbers because they're overextending this man.
Now he will not be overworked and over and underpaid like Fraud A. He'll be overworked and overpaid and deralize the racial component But you can't even outdraw next gen stats. All those YouTube subscribers? All those big ratings during your two-hour block that saved a company You're so polarizing that you think you're gonna be assassinated. You're walking around talking like you're Pac But yet you can outdraw next gen stats alt cats. Ain't the next gen alt cat just the dots? Isn't that just the dots running around?
Let me see if I can look that up. I literally think that's just the dots Let's see. Uh where 's the moving dots? Yeah, like this stuff here So you telling me McAfee is about to get 60 mil and he can't outdraw this? He can't outdraw the dots? This man about to get 60 plus M 's a year, and this is beating him on Monday nights? G T BW.
We'll hit the chat KJ, this guy Orlopsky is like on three sh other shows. I can't believe that. We supposed to take him seriously. Unfortunately, yes, because the four letter network decides that he is a serious voice. And while his analysis at times can be solid, right? I've never heard anything earth-shattering for Dan Orlovsky. I never, he's never made me re-look at the position of quarterback.
any differently outside of the fact of the fact that he played twelve years and did not have zero field awareness to know not to run out the back of the end zone. Like outside of that He's brought nothing to the table that made me re examine the NFL or re examine the quarterback position. If anything, he has been the poster child of how the hell did y'all entrust someone like that to be a starting NFL quarterback? But in terms of analysis, he's brought nothing. Absolutely nothing to the table. But yet, this is who's gonna be propped up. This is who you're going to be inundated with at the Super Bowl.
He's going to be at the spearhead of all of all of it because NFL Live is a great show. But it's a great show. Well it's a little it's a little bit less now because Ryan Clark is no longer there to be part of the mix. But even with that, they still got Mina Kimes, they still got uh Marcus Spears and you know they still bring in Booger I think from time to time so you still have enough there but like it's an ensemble cast Dan O Lops Dan O Lopsky on his own, basura. Absolute basura This man getting 60 mil and he can't beat the dots, bro. You taking L's to the dots? People are watching dots Instead of your frat boy, you know, your 20 years past your prime frat boy content, talking about football, shooting this shit Just some guys talking ball.
The dots are beating you. Scary hours. Alright, what else we got? Uh let's see. I appreciate those that are still here. Feel free to subscribe if you haven't already. Hit the like button if you haven't already.
That lets the algorithm know that you're enjoying the content Oh, Justin Tucker 's back, if you've missed that today. Justin Tucker is back in the league and he is with the Chiefs. So yes, you now infer that correctly. Harrison Butker and Justin Tucker are on the same team. If you know, you know. It's a lot there going on. Justin Tucker, I guess, you know what?
We need to give props to nasty men. I don't think Justin Tucker gets signed to the practice squad today if Nasty Man was not playing good football. Because if nasty man can endure what he endured, and I'm not sitting here saying that he is not guilty or anything like that. But he clearly has persevered and is playing well for a Cleveland Browns team that none of us thought was actually good. I think because of the success of Nasty Man Deshaun Watson, that opened the door for a team to look at Justin Tucker again. Because Justin Tucker did the same nasty shit like Nastyman to a smaller degree, but he was banned from massage parlors just like Nastyman. He had multiple accusations of improper conduct, just like nasty man And his play was declining, which made him expendable.
Just like Nasty Man. So I think if it wasn't for the resurgence, because now there's legitimate conversations of nasty man getting comeback player of the year, can you imagine? But they do like that NFL honors thing where they do like an award show, like the Emmys or whatever. Can you imagine Nasty Man getting an award and standing up on a stage As NFL comeback player of the year, and people are going to be applauding it. When we know what we know, when we know how the league was furious. That the Browns traded for him and then doubled down and gave him that fully guaranteed contract that everyone thought he did not deserve And now and potentially the last year that contract he is finally playing like the player they thought they were trading for all them years ago The fact that that man has played himself so well where now the Browns legitimately have to figure out what are we doing at quarterback next year? Now they can't re-up him at the same money.
It will certainly not be a fully guaranteed contract. But you cannot just let nasty man walk out the door. He's played that well. And if he hadn't been playing that well, Justin Tucker is still at the crib But because Nasty Man has played well, it has allowed Justin Tucker to now be able to sneak back into the league for doing the same nasty shit Like nasty man, because Harrison Butker's been trash and he was problematic as hell. Now, okay, Justin Tucker, as long as you get on that nasty man wave. No more massage parlors. Come uh come through and kick some field goals Sports man.
Second, third, fourth, fifth chances. Alright, what else we got? Uh let's see Okay, so the cults are cleaning house. They traded what was it, Quinn Nelson and DeForest Bruckner. Allegedly, Jonathan Taylor could be next. But we talked about nasty man being given the contract and the whole league was despising them for it. I think the opposite could be said when it comes to Dangle Jones in the Indianapolis Colts.
The Colts did such a horrible job. By falling for the bait. They took the bait. The giants fell for the bait once and it cost Daboll and them their jobs. The Colts fell for the same bait. Daniel Jones has a worse win percentage. Than Anthony Richardson.
Anthony Richardson, who is categorically considered a bust, but If you're looking at win percentage, Daniel Jones is a 500 quarterback. AR is 6 and 5. Yes , smaller sample size, but for the disaster that everyone assumes AR was, Daniel Jones has a worse percentage than Anthony Richardson. So my question is this. If you're going to tear it all down, which the cults clearly are doing, With Jonathan Taylor next up to go, allegedly. Why not give AR another chance to see what the hell you have? What does it matter?
Clearly, you're you don't care about wins. You're stockpiling for the future. Why not give one more run to AR? What's the rationale for not doing it? What's the reasoning for not doing it? I knew what Daniel Jones was way back when The Giants had the easiest schedule in the league. They made a playoff run.
They beat an overrated Vikings team in the first round. And they firmly believed they had found something in Daniel Jones, and they foolishly gave him an extension. Only for him to go right back to being who he thought he was the very next year. The Colts go out there and go get Daniel Jones, and he was such an improvement over what they had prior. Because the team was actually talented and just was was only a mediocre quarterback away from playing meaningful football late in the year, that they fell for the same trap again With Daniel Jones playing relatively well with significant help around him, and they foolishly re-upped him yet again Only for Daniel Jones to go back to who I've been saying he was by being mediocre. So now this is twice Daniel Jones has ran off on the plug. Twice now.
Twice now he has put on the shisty and stole off on two organizations. Now you want to tell me there's no reason to trot Anthony Richardson back out there For what? You're gonna stick with Daniel Jones? For what? You're cleaning house? Let me look at that contract real quick. Let me go ahead and look at that contract real quick Spot track And zoom out So yeah, this is this could be his last year.
So he has a he has a almost a 50 mil, 49 and a half million dollar cap, dead cap. If they bring 'em back next year, they're gonna bring 'em back at forty-six million dollars. You cannot do that. You cannot do that. So I think this is the last run for Daniel Jones. Okay? 'Cause when does the ex does the extension at each sign is that When does that kick in?
I think that just gets them through this year, I thought. Alright, let me come off and take another look, a deeper look into that. Okay, so he is signed through next year. So he got 49 mil guaranteed at signing. So two years that eight that extension was two years at 88 mil out of that 88 million that's 51. No, 61. Yes, sixty-one million is guaranteed out of the eighty-eight.
So he's good through 2027. So he's got one more year. One more year at big money too. 46. on the cap hit. I still say you're gonna take another look at AR. Because what's why not?
You know what he is. You know what Daniel Jones is. I still think you take another look at AR. Let's see what else we got. Uh do one more and then I think where we got on time Okay, we're pretty good on time. All right. Remaining s NFL strength of schedule.
If you want to get tapped in into that. So the easiest schedule the rest of the way Jaguars, Bengals, Texans, Cowboys, Buccaneers. The hardest strength of schedule for the rest of the season. Ravens, Steelers Jets Chargers, and the Chiefs. So that does not bode well for the Jets in the AFC North. And here is a little breakdown of the chart. Jaguars by far and away the easiest strength of schedule left.
So basically the AFC South Has the easiest schedule left. If you're trying to do any handicapping, if you're trying to do any betting, if you're looking at fantasy stuff, the AFC North the AFC South. Has the easiest strength of schedule left in the year. Make of that what you will. Also the NFC East. Because the Giants, the Eagles. And the Cowboys all have top ten, and then the Commanders are right outside the top ten.
All have the top ten easiest strength of schedule left. And the Browns sneakily have the twelfth easiest strength of schedule left. So they've gotten through the hardest part of the schedule. And they have a great record. So if Nasty Man can continue to cook, yikes. Yikes. Alright.
Let's see what else we got. We might wrap it up there. Let me take one last look at the timeline to make sure we're good. Make sure we're not missing out on anything live and direct. Oh yeah, if you missed out, Ernie Johnson is going to retire from inside the NBA. This season will be his last. And him and Barkley are going out on their shield together.
uh barkley's been saying that for a very long time that whenever Ernie goes he's gonna go so if you missed out on that news uh ej Ernie Johnson This will be his last year. Now, if they were still on TNT, would that be the case? I don't know. I don't know. But them, you know, pivoting over to the four letter four-letter network, did that accelerate the timeline of when EJ wants to walk away? Can kind of insinuate that maybe that has something to do with it that I think he's pushing 70. I think he said in his announcement clip.
So yeah, EJ Ernie Johnson walking away from inside the NBA, which means Barkley is likely to follow. That means does the habitual nutheader retire after this year so he can go ahead and take the Barkley spot That's long been rumored, long been uh put in place allegedly behind the scenes. That's been the worst kept secret that TNT at one point in time was grooming Draymond Green for the Charles Barkley spot. Now that they're on ESPN, I don't know if that transition plan carried over But that's a big hole to fill. Ernie Johnson, obviously a big hole to fill at one point in time. Adam Lefko was being groomed for that spot. Again, now that they're on the four letter network.
I don't know if that's the case where he's part of that transition plan. Who is a in-house ESPN personality that can slide into the Ernie Johnson role? And if you're Kenny the Jet Smith, how long are you gonna stick that out? We know Shaq's there for the check and just to keep you know making up stuff to go viral, so he's good. But in terms of Kenny the Jet Smith, how long you gon' wait
