Speaker 2: With Drake London, you could argue where he is in your top 10. Speaker 2: You know, both Steph and Corey that are in the chat, they were part of the top 10s that I did last year. Speaker 2: The many docs that are still living on this channel. Speaker 2: Drake London was not in that top 10.

Speaker 2: I think he received a couple votes, but he did not make the consensus NFL top 10. Speaker 2: So someone that was not even considered a top 10 wide receiver by those who know ball Speaker 2: makes more guaranteed money than Miles Garrett. Speaker 2: That to me is a problem. Speaker 2: That to me is the NFL in a nutshell. Speaker 2: That is where everything for me goes wrong for the NFL. Speaker 2: That was where exhibit A starts. That is where when you talk about what the players union have and has not done, it starts there for me that someone who is not even top 10 at their position is getting paid more guaranteed money than someone who is widely considered either a the best defensive player in the sport or be the best player in the entire sport.

Speaker 2: So that to me is where it begins and ends. You know how we do it here. We attack the timeline. Speaker 2: We comb the timeline looking for the T, looking for the information. Let's go ahead and jump right into the screen. Speaker 2: The full blockbuster trade. The Rams get Miles Garrett.

The Browns get Jarrettverse, who is good. Speaker 2: Damn sure no Miles Garrett, but it's good. A 2027 first round pick, a 2028 second round pick and a 2029 third round pick. Speaker 2: Now, essentially, the Browns, they already did some reconfiguring with the Miles Garrett contract leading into this deal. Speaker 2: But now they're able to offload that contract and then take on a J.I. Speaker 2: adverse contract that is significantly less money. Speaker 2: I think he's got two years left at five mil per fact.

Speaker 2: Check me if you want on that. But it's a significant cost savings. Speaker 2: Right. Miles Garrett had to trade the man, I believe, to all now to all seasons ago. Speaker 2: And it was deemed to be taken legitimately only for him to just take the re-up and get a bigger bag. Speaker 2: And we all thought, oh, he played us for suckers. He played us for suckers.

Speaker 2: He made us think he really cared about winning and that he really wanted to get out of Dodge and escape the poverty franchise. Speaker 2: It is the Cleveland Browns only just to take more bread to go back home to the crib and be quiet. Speaker 2: Now he's able to slide up out of there and make the move to L.A. Speaker 2: And now the Rams are being considered a super team. Speaker 2: We saw how close they were last year to getting to the Super Bowl. Speaker 2: We know what they're bringing back on both sides of the ball, Speaker 2: the additions they have made in the offseason. Speaker 2: The Rams are starting to look the part of a super team.

Speaker 2: The Rams are in the mix in regards to both sides of the ball, Speaker 2: assuming health on offense, and that's a key. Speaker 2: They've bolstered the offensive line. Speaker 2: We know that. Speaker 2: But in terms of having Stafford and Nakua back in the fold Speaker 2: and back at close enough to be in the top tier that they showed throughout the bulk of last year, Speaker 2: if they're able to run that back with the run game, with the beefed up offensive line, Speaker 2: McVay cooking things up continuously, now on that defensive side of the ball, Speaker 2: you bring in a game changer, a difference maker, arguably the best player in the entire sport, Speaker 2: and Miles Garrett, and yes, the Rams look the part. Speaker 2: They are now the betting favorite, if I could find that window. Speaker 2: They're now the betting favorite at plus 500, I think, if you want to drop some bread on the Rams. Speaker 2: Did I not pull that?

I did not pull that. I saw it, though. Speaker 2: Plus 500 for the Rams to win the Super Bowl. Speaker 2: And I believe the second highest favorite was plus 1,000. Speaker 2: So that's how much Vegas has moved with just this one deal of the Rams acquiring the best defensive player in the sport, Speaker 2: possibly even to bless the best player in the entire sport in Miles Garrett. Speaker 2: So from the Cleveland perspective, poverty franchise status is remaining. Speaker 2: You can make the case of should they have shopped the deal better, whatever the case may be.

Speaker 2: I think if you are the Browns and you're trying to not necessarily tear it down and rebuild, Speaker 2: you're trying to retool on the fly. Speaker 2: Normally teams that are good that want to become great do the retooling on the fly. Speaker 2: But unfortunately, this is a team that is mid that thinks they're good that is trying to retool on the fly. Speaker 2: Because you don't just get rid of Miles Garrett in a salary dump. Speaker 2: You don't get rid of Miles Garrett with the assumption of, you know, we don't have anything left. Speaker 2: So let's just flip our best asset that's remaining. Speaker 2: I don't think this is that move for the Cleveland Browns.

Speaker 2: I think this is a move where they feel as though, OK, we've had Miles Garrett for the entirety of his career. Speaker 2: He has been the best player in the league or at least a top three best player in the league the entirety of the time here. Speaker 2: And we are no better for it. Now, that is their fault. Speaker 2: But from their perspective, they can spin it. Well, you've given us top tier performance the entirety of your time here. Speaker 2: And we're still a poverty franchise.

Speaker 2: So Dan, if we do Dan, if we don't, why are we going to keep paying you this top tier bread? Speaker 2: If we're not getting to the playoffs with you, if we're not getting to a 500 record with you, what how much better actually are we? Speaker 2: If we have Miles Garrett for the rest of his career. Speaker 2: However long that may be, he may have another decade in them. Speaker 2: He might have five years in them. Speaker 2: We don't know. Speaker 2: But if you're the Cleveland Browns and you're trying to assist, if you're trying to take a real, this is a self-awareness trade from the Cleveland Browns perspective.

Speaker 2: This is a look for them in terms of a look. Speaker 2: Shit, we ain't really doing that much with the boy. Speaker 2: We ain't really going that far in the playoffs with the boy. Speaker 2: We ain't even sniffing the playoffs with the boy. Speaker 2: He's had to go through how many quarterbacks? Speaker 2: He's had to go through how many D.C. changes?

Speaker 2: He has to go through how many head coaching changes? Speaker 2: He has to go through how many losing streaks? Speaker 2: And he has still performed at a top tier level and hasn't been that much of an issue off the field. Speaker 2: What are we doing with him? Speaker 2: The days of just having a dude and just having a really good player just be a franchise player for a middling franchise for the entirety of their career. Speaker 2: That those days are over. Speaker 2: OK, that necessary, that narrative or that distinction is over.

Speaker 2: A player of Miles Garrett ilk should not have to waste away his career with a poverty franchise like the Cleveland Browns. Speaker 2: So even though he forced a trade and ended up being a pump fake, he ultimately gets the bread and gets moved to an actual contender all as well for Miles Garrett. Speaker 2: And if you're the Browns, you got there, you get Jared Verse, who is, you know, only got a couple of years left at super low money. Speaker 2: And he's a really good player. So you're getting high value at a low salary as opposed to Garrett. Speaker 2: Again, high performance, but at a very high price tag. Again, cost saving is a thing in this NFL thing.

Speaker 2: As much as we try to look at it as wins and losses, a lot of these maneuvers, a lot of these contracts, Speaker 2: a lot of these wheeling and dealing is really based off of salary. Speaker 2: It's the business side. As much as we want to focus on the football side of things, and I'm here for that. Speaker 2: We can't ignore the business side of it. Speaker 2: So Jared first, a first next year, a second year after that, and a third year after that. Speaker 2: A lot of teams are wondering how come they didn't get a call from the Browns. Speaker 2: I don't if I'm the Browns, I'm not trading Miles Garrett within my conference.

Speaker 2: So that right there X is out what 1314 teams like I'm not going to trade Miles Garrett within conference because I'm if I'm ever trying to be good. Speaker 2: I don't want to have to be staring at another team that has Miles Garrett on the other side. Speaker 2: Can you imagine Miles Garrett with the Bills or with the Ravens? Speaker 2: You're not trading him within the conference. Speaker 2: Put him on the Chiefs. Speaker 2: You're not trading him within the conference. Speaker 2: If you're going to get rid of Miles Garrett, you're sending his ass to the NFC.

Speaker 2: It begins there. Speaker 2: So that Xs out half of your market right there. Speaker 2: So this notion that, and we'll get to another trade, Speaker 2: people think, oh, the Eagles should have, or the Patriots should have had to give up more, Speaker 2: whatever, it doesn't matter. Speaker 2: There's certain teams you're not going to trade to. Speaker 2: Like certain teams, you're not going to trade a top tier prospect or value or a top tier Speaker 2: type of player. Speaker 2: You're not going to trade that to an in-conference opponent. Speaker 2: You're not going to do that.

Speaker 2: Especially if you're trying to be good. Speaker 2: So no, the Browns should not have shopped around Miles Garrett even more because half your Speaker 2: conference, you're not going to trade him with in-conference. Speaker 2: that only leaves you with the NFC and how many teams could legitimately, one, absorb the contract Speaker 2: of Miles Garrett and two, have the draft capital that they're willing to forego to go get Miles Speaker 2: Garrett. It's a two-pronged approach. And in three, Miles Garrett wants to go there. Speaker 2: Okay, that's another key component. Miles Garrett been a Brown his whole life.

Speaker 2: If he's going to leave Cleveland, I think he was content with staying in Cleveland. Speaker 2: But if he's going to leave, he's going to leave to go to a contender. Speaker 2: So that Xs out a significant amount of teams in the NFC. Speaker 2: You can't just send him anywhere. Speaker 2: That type of player, that type of stature, you can't just do that. Speaker 2: So y'all let me know your thoughts. Speaker 2: Cleveland, do you like where they got in return?

Speaker 2: Do you see their perspective? Speaker 2: Is this a complete teardown for Cleveland? Speaker 2: Is this retooling on the fly? Speaker 2: And then let's flip to the other side with the Rams. Speaker 2: Super team or not? Speaker 2: Super Bowl or bust? Speaker 2: There's a narrative about Aaron Donald.

Speaker 2: Is he going to come back and all this stuff? Speaker 2: There's a lot of things. Speaker 2: Now, if Aaron Donald decides to come back, Speaker 2: that changes the scope of this greatly. Speaker 2: I don't know what the term is Speaker 2: because now you can consider the Rams a super team Speaker 2: with what they've done in the offseason. Speaker 2: But now if they didn't be able to go get Aaron Donald off the couch Speaker 2: and have him pull up, Speaker 2: I don't even know what that term is. Speaker 2: I do not know what that term is. Speaker 2: But let's hit the chat.

Speaker 2: Step in the building, second-best CB for the AFC and McDuffie. Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. Speaker 2: So not only do you go get Miles Garrett, now you got McDuffie on top of that Speaker 2: to go along with a very good young core on defense to begin with. Speaker 2: And then, oh, by the way, they got McVay. Speaker 2: Oh, by the way, they have the reigning MVP in Matt Stafford. Speaker 2: And, oh, by the way, they have a top-five wide receiver in Puka Nakua. Speaker 2: And, oh, by the way, they still got Kieran Williams in a upgraded offensive line.

Speaker 2: okay Speaker 2: I know yeah Speaker 2: Devontae Adams still there too by the way Speaker 2: top 10 wide receivers and the best player in the league Speaker 2: they are a super team yeah facts factual Speaker 2: super team loading Speaker 2: Patrick was good my guy Speaker 2: Aaron Donald could do the funniest thing Speaker 2: no that's the part Speaker 2: that's the part to me Speaker 2: Aaron Donald and I have that tweet here from Speaker 2: Jordan Schultz yeah Jordan Schultz Speaker 2: alright so I got to see it here Speaker 2: I texted Aaron Donald about coming out of retirement and playing for the Rams alongside Miles Garrett. Speaker 2: The quote, and this is a confirmed quote, the quote from Aaron Donald. Speaker 2: I'm for sure flirting with the idea. Hell of an opportunity with the Super Bowl in so far this year. Speaker 2: If I can find the fire, it's a possibility. Speaker 2: If he can find the fire, that man been at the crib, chomping at the bit, that man. Speaker 2: He works out with machetes.

Speaker 2: OK, like it's a different type of thing. Speaker 2: It's a different type of thing when it comes to Aaron Donald. Speaker 2: That man works out with machetes and cutlasses like this. Speaker 2: This is a different type of dude when it comes to Aaron Donald. Speaker 2: OK, I think he could find that fire. Speaker 2: If the fire is not lit now that you have the remnants of a really good offense, as Steph said, two top 10 wide receivers, the reigning MVP. Speaker 2: and you have a play caller that we know is one of them.

Speaker 2: Not we think he is, maybe. Speaker 2: No, no, no, let's confirm McVay is one of those. Speaker 2: What they think some of these other gurus are, Speaker 2: McVay actually is, okay? Speaker 2: So from top to bottom, your offense should be good Speaker 2: anyway and upgrade to the O-line. Speaker 2: Now your D-line could be the most terrorizing thing Speaker 2: ever on paper. Speaker 2: And I know that sounds like hyperbole, Speaker 2: but as an older dude, Speaker 2: in my lifetime, I can't think of two better plays. Speaker 2: Now again, Aaron Donald, he's not in his prime anymore.

Speaker 2: He's still really good. Speaker 2: He's been retired for a couple seasons now, Speaker 2: so he's not that same dude. Speaker 2: But whatever amount he comes back at, Speaker 2: 90% Aaron Donald, the fact that you can have Aaron Donald Speaker 2: and Miles Garrett on the same D-line, Speaker 2: I can't think of a better one. Speaker 2: I can't think of a better, Speaker 2: I can't think of two better defensive linemen on the same line in my lifetime. Speaker 2: I'm really trying to sit here and think this is not 85 Bears. Speaker 2: This is not the Ravens. Speaker 2: This is not.

Speaker 2: I mean, if you want to go crazy and want to give me Reggie White and Jerome Brown. Speaker 2: No, because Jerome Brown ain't no Aaron Donald. Speaker 2: You could argue Miles Garrett versus Reggie White. Speaker 2: But Aaron Donald is better than Jerome Brown. Speaker 2: The late great Jerome Brown. Speaker 2: Rest in peace. Speaker 2: And Reggie White, rest in peace.

Speaker 2: That Giants NASCAR line where you had Strahan, Osi, Tuck. Speaker 2: None of those guys are Aaron Donald or Miles Garrett. Speaker 2: Give me the D-line if this were to happen that can stand toe-to-toe with potential Aaron Donald and Miles Garrett. Speaker 2: I'm sitting here trying to think of one. Speaker 2: I can't think of one off the top of my head. Speaker 2: Charles Haley with the Niners or the Cowboys? Speaker 2: No, there wasn't another guy on his level.

Speaker 2: No, I can't think of one, bro. Speaker 2: I really can't. Speaker 2: Not a super team. Speaker 2: They drafted a QB in the first round. Speaker 2: Yeah, but they have the reigning MVP as their QB, though. Speaker 2: So, I mean, yes, you could use it as a thing to try to tear them down, Speaker 2: but they also have the reigning MVP at QB. Speaker 2: So I don't, you can't tell me they have the reigning MVP at quarterback, Speaker 2: which is still allegedly the most important position in the sport.

Speaker 2: They have two receivers, one for sure top 10. Speaker 2: You can argue whether Devontae Adams is still top 10, but he's no more than 15. Speaker 2: So two upper tier wide receivers, including one that could be top five. Speaker 2: A really good running back, an upgraded offensive line, Speaker 2: A defense that's been bolstered in the secondary and now on the D-line, Speaker 2: it can potentially add another top-tier D-lineman on top of that. Speaker 2: You can't say that that's not a super team. Speaker 2: Of course, it says Adam got hurt running standard routes last year. Speaker 2: He won't play all season.

Speaker 2: I mean, again, look, will he be ready for January? Speaker 2: You don't need, again, if you're a super team, you don't need Devontae Adams for all 17 games. Speaker 2: You don't. Speaker 2: You need him for January. Speaker 2: You need him to be ready and fresh, ready to go for January for the playoff push. Speaker 2: That's kind of like, you know, KD with the Warriors. Speaker 2: KD with the Warriors, they didn't need KD for a January game against the Brooklyn Nets.

Speaker 2: They didn't need him. Speaker 2: They needed him in May and June. Speaker 2: Those were the games that mattered that entire season. Speaker 2: The Rams do not, unless Miles Garrett goes out there and blows ACL or an Achilles, Speaker 2: you tell Aaron Donald, if you're coming back, take your time. Speaker 2: There is no rush. Speaker 2: we don't need you until the winter until the winter pulls up we don't even need you when the leaves Speaker 2: turn brown we need you when that winter chill is coming in and again you're in LA you're not even Speaker 2: gonna feel it like that they need that man for post Thanksgiving around Kwanzaa Eve that's when Speaker 2: you want to see Aaron Donald on the field if you're playing that game if you're playing that Speaker 2: game for the Rams you want to see Aaron Donald on the field on the back half of the year as opposed Speaker 2: to let's rush to get him ready right now he does not need to have his fire lit right now that man Speaker 2: does not need to be doing OTAs that man does not need to be doing any of this stuff let him play Speaker 2: with the machetes and the cutlasses at the crib and have them ready for Kwanzaa Eve then put him Speaker 2: on the field then let's see how this cooks up because when you have those two types of players Speaker 2: They don't need chemistry. Speaker 2: There's no chemistry. Speaker 2: Aaron Donald could play any of the four positions on the line. Speaker 2: Miles Garrett could play any of the four positions on the line.

Speaker 2: You could do them on the same side, opposite ends. Speaker 2: Put two of them in the middle. Speaker 2: Do whatever you want. Speaker 2: Just let them cook up. Speaker 2: They don't need five months of prep to figure out what to do with arguably two of the most dominant defensive players we've ever seen. Speaker 2: Being on the same line at the same time. Speaker 2: And certainly from the video evidence and then quotes that came out right after Speaker 2: McVay might not see it. Speaker 2: But clearly the dude that is in control of them picks saw something. Speaker 2: Okay. Speaker 2: So be that as it may, Speaker 2: we have to because of what he's done. Speaker 2: And now we got to start to maybe bump him into some of these conversations with Speaker 2: the upper tier of GMs. Speaker 2: We have to start paying attention to what he's doing and give him that grace, give him that benefit of the doubt like we do with others. Speaker 2: Staff, let me see if I can move this chat thing over.

Speaker 2: OK, I can't move that over. All right. Speaker 2: Getting a QB early who can learn behind or any of the peers of steel. Speaker 2: My home set behind Alex Smith. Imagine Ty behind Stafford. Speaker 2: I'm not saying Ty is Patty, but yeah. I mean, look, that's the key, right?

Speaker 2: Like, I don't see this as a thing where where Simpson's going to sit behind Stafford for three to four years like Jordan Love and Aaron Rodgers. Speaker 2: I don't see this as a Montana Steve Walsh thing or a Montana Steve Young thing. Speaker 2: I don't see this just actually low key. Speaker 2: I mean, it's a different scenario, but you could paint this as a Kurt Warner, Eli Manning thing like you can. Speaker 2: If you think Stafford is still that I have my reservations against Stafford will always have my reservations against Stafford. Speaker 2: That could be my time as a Bear fan back in the earlier part of my life. Speaker 2: Still, you know, have some remnants of that left.

Speaker 2: But if y'all think Stafford is one of those. Speaker 2: He's not getting any younger. Speaker 2: He's long in the tooth. Speaker 2: You're going to assume he's going to be on that Brady avocado ice cream wave. Speaker 2: He could just keep playing at a high level well into his 40s. Speaker 2: I don't see that in Matt Stafford. Speaker 2: So if that's the case, you're going to have to have some kind of replacement.

Speaker 2: waiting in the tuck. Speaker 2: So if you think Simpson is that, Speaker 2: then you go get Simpson. Speaker 2: We again, we don't have to see it. Speaker 2: We don't have to agree with it. Speaker 2: But if Lee Snead thinks that that's the guy, Speaker 2: even against the behest of his own coach, Speaker 2: who's one of them, Speaker 2: then who are we to judge? Speaker 2: We got to at least let it happen. Speaker 2: If it fails, it fails, Speaker 2: and then we'll roast them for it Speaker 2: like we do with everything else.

Speaker 2: But he has been clear on that Speaker 2: fuck them picks wave. Speaker 2: So if he then comes to a position where he doesn't fuck them picks and he actually uses the pick, then we have to say, oh, well, he must really be high on Simpson. Speaker 2: Patrick, 75% Aaron is playing for the Rams. Yeah, I mean, look, if you have Miles Garrett in his prime and a 75% Aaron Donald, a 75% Aaron Donald for the back half stretch run is light years better than what they trotted out there last year trying to beat the Seahawks. Speaker 2: OK, so if you can have that, that's still shitting on 90 percent of the D lines in the entire league. Speaker 2: A 75 percent Aaron Donald with 100 percent Miles Garrett. Speaker 2: Steph Eric Riddle came off the couch and did it.

Speaker 2: AD is a freak. I think he got it. No, for sure. Speaker 2: I think that there is no doubt that if you told Aaron Donald, relax and ramp up and be ready post Thanksgiving, that's light work. Speaker 2: That's light work for him. Speaker 2: I think he could definitely do that. Speaker 2: I think that there's no way that there's not a scenario for me where Aaron Donald comes back and is not him.

Speaker 2: Barring injury, anything could happen, right? Speaker 2: Football field, they could play at MetLife at that shitty turf and stuff could happen. Speaker 2: But assuming everything is above board, Aaron Donald comes back in 75 percent. Speaker 2: Aaron Donald, I think, can legitimately walk into the field and still be a top 10 D lineman right now. Speaker 2: If we give him the chance to ramp up and fire up and be ready post Thanksgiving, I think he could still walk in and be top five. Brown even had a whole interviews lined up to combat against whatever narratives that were going to come out of Philly with the trade being announced, Speaker 2: that he already had his interview lined up to be able to push that out there in real time.

Speaker 2: OK, so we knew that this was happening. We knew this was going to be a thing. Speaker 2: And is this a trade that makes sense? Speaker 2: It makes sense from Philly's perspective because Philly still has a top-tier wide receiver in Devontae Smith. Speaker 2: Howie's able to get some picks back. Speaker 2: And it's an addition by subtraction. Speaker 2: From a Philly PLV, this is an addition by subtraction and you get some picks for it.

Speaker 2: So from that standpoint, it makes a lot of sense. Speaker 2: If you are the Patriots, it makes a lot of sense because despite what Philly and Philly's faithful may tell you, Speaker 2: A.J. Brown is still a really good receiver. Speaker 2: now is he peak Titans peak first two years in Philly I don't know about that but even if he Speaker 2: ain't that he's still a top 10 so given Drake May who at times looked lost because his receivers Speaker 2: could not get open given Drake May in year what this year two or three this year three coming up Speaker 2: for Drake May in year three for Drake May a top 10 wide receiver that sounds like what the Bills Speaker 2: did when they gave Josh Allen Speaker 2: Stephon Dix. Speaker 2: Now again, A.J. Brown is Speaker 2: better right now than Stephon Speaker 2: Dix was those first couple of Speaker 2: years for Josh Allen, but we saw the results Speaker 2: right away. Speaker 2: Josh Allen was looking to be a bust, and then Speaker 2: all of a sudden, he turned Speaker 2: a lot of frowns upside down with the Speaker 2: addition of Stephon Dix.

Speaker 2: Now we're Speaker 2: talking about Drake May, who was just Speaker 2: in the Super Bowl, albeit we know it was a soft-ass Speaker 2: schedule, easy strength of schedule, and he Speaker 2: but they beat who was in front of them. Now to try to combat the Super Bowl falloff or the Super Bowl hangover with a real schedule this year. Speaker 2: OK, let's go give him a J-Brown. So this is a deal that I think works on paper for both teams. Speaker 2: But we know how this works on paper is only a quarter of the battle, not even half the battle. Speaker 2: How is this going to work from a football perspective? Business wise, it makes sense for both sides.

Speaker 2: How does this work from a football perspective? Speaker 2: From a football perspective, I could argue the Eagles got worse because they had two top 10 wide receivers or arguably two top 10 wide receivers. Speaker 2: And now they're down to one. Speaker 2: OK, so I can argue that that is a problem. Speaker 2: I could argue that this doesn't change the fact that the Eagles offense has been predictable throughout the last three seasons. Speaker 2: So much so that Lane Johnston has openly complained about it. Speaker 2: Well, everyone else is focusing on the melodrama of Jalen Hurts and A.J.

Brown. Speaker 2: And now we're getting even more tea about that, which I'll let y'all, you know, troll about that. Speaker 2: I don't really care about that stuff. What I'm concerned about is that a lot of this fault is going to be rested on A.J. Brown. Speaker 2: Well, A.J. Brown's gone.

Everything's going to be great now. Slow down. Speaker 2: Because the problem was not A.J. Brown. The problem was the offense was predictable. Speaker 2: The offense in Philly was predictable. Speaker 2: That had nothing to do with a seven-guard dig route by A.J.

Speaker 2: He didn't say we're throwing the ball to A.J. Brown too much. Speaker 2: He didn't say the offense is too predictable because they know we're throwing to A.J. Brown. Speaker 2: He said the other team is calling our plays at the line. Speaker 2: That has nothing to do with A.J. Brown.

Speaker 2: But he's a scapegoat. He's an easy target. Speaker 2: He's now a former Eagle. It's open season. Speaker 2: So the Eagles got worse. Speaker 2: Hard stop to me. Speaker 2: But does it matter in the long run?

Speaker 2: Andrew Barry, GM of the Browns. Speaker 2: That wasn't the goal.

Speaker 2: The goal was to not get a few more picks. Speaker 2: And while this could be used as a slight towards him, Speaker 2: I think I know what he's trying to say, even without playing the clip. Speaker 2: I think it's like, well, I wanted a good enough player in return. Speaker 2: And you're not going to get a 1v1 return for no damn Miles Garrett. Speaker 2: However, if you could go get a good player like Jared Verse, Speaker 2: who's still extremely cheap and is very young and has way more upside left, Speaker 2: and you could get a first round pick for it, why not do it? Speaker 2: Why not? Speaker 2: If he could get, what, a first?

Speaker 2: What was the first? Speaker 2: A first, a second, and a third. Speaker 2: Why wouldn't you make that deal? Speaker 2: And you get in a player in Jared Verse, Speaker 2: who, wow, there's going to be a lot of comparisons Speaker 2: because he's traded for Miles Garrett, Speaker 2: but he's no Miles Garrett. Speaker 2: But if he keeps doing what he's done, Speaker 2: we'll look up his numbers. Speaker 2: He's really come on the last couple of years. Speaker 2: Like last, his first year, he looked the part, but he didn't really look the part if you watched the tape.

Speaker 2: Last year, not only did he flash, but he flashed with important plays and he was consistent. Speaker 2: The thing with verse was he was consistent, right? Speaker 2: So you're getting a guy that's heading into his third year. Speaker 2: He's made the Pro Bowl twice, right? Speaker 2: Defensive Rookie of the Year. Speaker 2: But I still think to me last year was his better year. Speaker 2: Make of that what you will.

Speaker 2: The fact that you can get that for the low low on a rookie deal for the cheap. Speaker 2: If you know you're not going to win with Miles Garrett. Speaker 2: Clearly, the Browns were not winning anything significant with Miles Garrett. Speaker 2: If I can flip and get the defensive rookie of the year. Speaker 2: A two-time pro bowler heading into his third year for the Lolo with two years left with for five mil per guaranteed bread, easy money. Speaker 2: And then string that out if he performs, if Jared first performs. Speaker 2: Now we have the rights to where we can franchise tag him and drag that out.

Speaker 2: So not only do he have the two years left on his contract, his rookie deal, Speaker 2: but then they can do the Lamar thing or just franchise tag him for two more years Speaker 2: at a bigger number, of course, but not the crazy extension bag. Speaker 2: So you can get four years at market value or below market value performance Speaker 2: of a guy who's already made the Pro Bowl twice in two seasons. Speaker 2: So if you're going to give up Miles Garrett, you're not going to get a player the caliber of Miles Garrett. Speaker 2: But if I could get a close enough value player where he's not Miles Garrett good, but Jarrett versus still really, really good. Speaker 2: And I get a pick in return, a few picks of return, a first, a second and a third. Speaker 2: And financially, I'm saving Buku bread. Speaker 2: And I now have control rights over Jared verse for the foreseeable future, at least over the next four years, because two years guaranteed.

Speaker 2: And then I can franchise franchise tag him two years after that. Speaker 2: I think that's great than just expecting, oh, I want four first round picks for Miles Garrett. Speaker 2: That works in Madden. But if we're talking real life, we're talking about constructing a team real life. Speaker 2: Give me Jad verse in a first, a second and a third for the foreseeable future as opposed to I want all the picks right now. Speaker 2: So while people are going to try to insinuate that the Browns got got, you know, got thrashed here or they got fleeced here. Speaker 2: I don't see that as of right now.

Now, if they trick those picks off and Jad verse just continues just being really good, then, yeah, that's a bad trade. Speaker 2: Because Miles Garrett is going to be one of them. Speaker 2: He may even win a Lombardi. Speaker 2: So you trade away a guy that's going to be the final piece of potentially a Super Bowl champion. Speaker 2: And all you got was a really good player in Jadverse. Speaker 2: That's a problem. Speaker 2: You got to hit on at least two of these three picks that you traded for in this deal.

Speaker 2: He can't go one for three or O for three. Speaker 2: He's got to go two for three with these picks. Speaker 2: And Jadverse has to continue with sending. Speaker 2: Then you can like, all right, it makes sense. Speaker 2: As opposed to I'm going to trade Miles Garrett. Speaker 2: I'm just going to take a shit ton of picks back and we'll figure it out from there. Speaker 2: That's the video game way to look at it.

Speaker 2: That's not reality. Speaker 2: There's two trains of thought. Speaker 2: You can either let me get the best available player that I can for this high level asset in Miles Garrett and get some draft collateral with it. Speaker 2: Or screw finding a player that's close enough to Miles Garrett. Speaker 2: I just want all the draft capital in the world. Speaker 2: I don't think there's nothing wrong with Andrew Barry going with the former as opposed to the latter. Speaker 2: All right.
