Fernando Tatis Jr is looking like an early candidate for Most Valuable Player and that led me to proclaim his greatness and the potential greatness of the San Diego Padres as a contender. On the latest In The Crosshairs on LineSniper HQ, I gave the Padres some love as I think they have a chance to win the National League West outright. Tatis is on that much of a roll, he’s a special talent and with Manny Machado along side of him that will give the Padres the edge to win the West.
Some how some way I also managed to encourage people to put money on the New York Mets. That’s something I wouldn’t have imagined possible a couple years ago because I gave away my allegiance to that franchise after all the years of heartache and pain they have caused me and those around me.
With Jacob deGrom on the bump Friday night though and the Mets offense being in a groove, even I had to stop being so Drake by being all in my feelings and focus on getting this money,
With Damian Lillard scoring 112 points over his last two games there was only one answer to the fan question about which first round series in the NBA is most likely heading for an upset. The Portland TrailBlazers have the size to combat Anthony Davis, Dwight Howard and JaVale McGee. While they will have no answer for LeBron James they can give him multiple looks defensively.
Having Gary Trent Jr. stepping up inside the bubble has been huge for Portland as CJ McCollum has been battling a bad back. The Lakers will be without Avery Bradley so their best option to frustrate Damian Lillard is Alex Caruso who is underrated defensively but I don’t think he is ready for Lillard smoke.
