The Lakers and Bucks were both under the gun last week as both dropped their opening games of the first round of the NBA playoffs but just six days later both are one game away from putting away their opponents.
On the latest Pick N Pop Podcast I get into what changed for the number one seeds, How the Mavericks are giving the Clippers all that they can handle and why Elton Brand and the 76ers might need to blow it all up in Philly.
- Lakers and Bucks get back to business
- Luka and the Mavericks are doing work on the Clippers
- Clippers looking shaky in the light
- Donovan Mitchell is now top 10?
- Heat are the last thing Giannis wants to see in the bubble
- Philly decides to move on
- Social justice still impacting the bubble
The only upset that we’re looking at in the bubble is with the soooo deep…pause…so talented…so talent rich team which is Steve Ballmer’s Los Angeles Clippers. That’s the only team that legitimately could be upset in the bubble that’s not really a bubble. Everyone was putting money on Portland. Everyone’s eyebrows were raised when the Bucks dropped that first game to Vooch and the Magic. Meanwhile Luka is out here doing legendary things to PG, Kawhi, Reggie Jackson whoever you want to name it….on a nightly basis and he’s doing this without the services of the Latvian Worldstar, Kristaps Porzingis but in Laker land all is calm”On what a difference a week makes for the Lakers and Bucks

I’m sure next week we will be talking about the Lakers and Bucks both moving on in the NBA playoffs but it was good to dream a scenario where they didn’t.
Lowest of keys I wouldn’t be mad if Elton Brand got rid of them all. Because he inherited this…he played under Hinkie..He knew what time it was. He inherited draft picks that he didn’t draft. He inherited a coach that he didn’t hire and he’s trying to manipulate pieces and get it done. He got Jimmy (Butler) in there but then Jimmy took one look around saw that Brett Brown is a trash coach with his dead zone bullshit. He saw that Embiid and Ben can’t even get along. It’s basically him and J. J. Reddick the only ones that are willing to step up and call shit out.On what’s next for the 76ers now that Brett Brown is out
